Well I was very happy to see that my movie was a part of the huge list of nominees. Although I am sure that it wont necessarily win any money or anything, I am curious as to see what placement it gets. So anyway, last time I was able to vote, which came as a shock, and this time I get to vote again. So, here is my list (Naturally, Sonic Matrixa is in first because.. well, I made it along with Phoenix).

1.) Sonic Matrixa 2/3
2.) Tomorrows Nobodies Ep. 3
3.) Xin Session 15
4.) One O'clock Jump
5.) Noodles on My back
6.) The Mad Cow
7.) Salad Fingers ep. 6
8.) Shoot for the sky
9.) The Doom Project
10.) Throw it

Please vote for my movie!!! Or at least next month, when the finale is submitted. Trust me when I say that you wont be disappointed.

Alright, so good luck to everyone else, and thank you for your time.

TN3 for the win. Man, it sucks how a lot of the votes are only going to late-in-the-month entries.

I think we should list the games and movies sperate since they each get thier own awards anyways.
I try to vote for 5 of each, had a hard time voting for 5 games. So many of the thigns listed were movies.

here's mine, I seem to be sticking to my DBZ passion.
I'm not looking with a blind eye to the others, these just were that good.

How can they afford to give all this money away to people? Also, are they inextricably linked to NG or are they using it to get enough reconnection to make their own competing portal eventually (it is after all a fairly new website)? I wonder as well how much having such a dedicated platform for games is boosting the number of artists making them. They even recruit games that had nothing to do with the website. They just posted on NG and GoG came along and ask if they can sponser it (like RaidenX).

Well, they told me that they get about 25000 hits per day. That was a bit over twice the amount of visitors I was getting to my site when Magnetism was first released. If their site stays at 25000 visitors per day, that should give them plenty of money to sponsor all those games (I know from personal expirence)

I don't get to vote this month...
Last month I got in and won 3rd best Game.
However, I haven't received any prizes yet... Could be a 2-month wait.

I remembered someone posting that late submissions get most of the votes but I think that's true for some cases only. My game won for June and it was the first frontpage of June.

Good luck to all the guys this time.

I'm brining in the big guns next month to win an iPod shuffle.

Why couldn't I vote for the Incredible Screaming Cat?!?! I would have voted it my #2 or #3 of the month...it made the front page so why was it not available for voting? I hope it is on next month's ballot at least or an extremely talented author will go unrewarded for all his hard work.

Hmm, well what is NG spending all it's money on? It has to be raking it in much, MUCH better then GoG and if that website can make it with so little advertising why does NG need to advertise porn and such? Oh and the pop ups for non members <shudders at the memory of what pop ups was like before the invention of pop up blockers>.

GoG seems like almost a subsidiary of NG by this point, it would not be a feasible system if it was working on it's own and I have seen nothing on the internet so tied down to NG as GoG. Maby NG should buy it out and make it an official sub selection? Tom was always saying how he loves promoting games. Frankly, I think Games of Gondor does it better then NG has so it might make sense for a buyout. They certainly pay the moolah and making it so movies get a .10 deduction in points seems to be a super good incentive to focus on gaming. As well as the active recruiting of games that make it into the daily top 5.

Collecting NG's undiscovered gems has been a hobby of mine since 2005. I am curently posting them on my blog.

Feel free to check them out and tell me what you think.

Where do you send your votes? I was wondering. Also, why can't it be the top 10,000 users?

Are there going to be any special things for top 5 movies winners at any point? Just curious. I realise the games / GoG thing is a tie-in that makes sense, but it feels weird to leave the poor movie authors out of it. :::nods:::

Anyway... I didn't have anywhere near as much fun voting (and trying to figure out what I was voting for in the first place) at the beginning of July as I did at the beginnings of June, May, April, and March... due to the time demands and energy-drain of the job I've been doing for 5 weeks now... and thus I don't expect anything to change this month.

But I'll see if I can get some movie viewing in on Friday and Saturday. Thank god for the new, longer (at least officially) voting period... I will NEVER take it for granted that we are guaranteed at least SOME weekend voting due to it. Very very helpful. Thanks to whoever had that idea, liljim or Tom... and good job keeping this crazy monthly thing going!

Guys, actually the Games of Gondor owners get their resources from other sources, not from their website. (or at least, that's what's in my mind so far)

gamesofgondor.com is their hobby, and they are giving out money to promote flash game developers, not for nothing. And they are really nice guys.
