Can Someone Help Me With This... 2005-06-18 18:22:16

Error - it looks like you have already voted for this movie today. You'll have to wait until tomorrow before you can vote on it again!
If you believe you have not voted on this entry in the past 24 hours it is possible someone else using your ISP shares your unique IP address and has already voted on this entry, especially if you are on a large ISP such as AOL.

Im not sure exactly how this happened but it was the first time ive seen this. Its saying i have already voted for something that i didnt, is there anyway to fix this or is there something i can do or something.

Someone please post something back.

It means you've already voted on that submission.

Everyone with an internet connection has their own unique IP adress, these are used to determine if you have already voted on a movie for the day, HOWEVER, sometimes IP's are the same as others because of the ISP you are using, and in the case of AOL ALL IP's are the same, what likely happened is someone with the same IP address as you voted on the movie, meaning you can't vote on that movie again til tommorrow, sorry!

I had this problem for while. You need to use a proxy server.

If you have a dynamic IP (changes), as oppose to a static IP (stays the same), someone else may have voted from their computer when their IP was the same as you have now.
