Attention Flash Artists!

It is very important that you fill out the "Short Description" field when submitting your Flash entries! If you haven't done so, you can go back and add a short description by logging into your account and clicking the "Portal Submissions" link.

Many of you skip this field because you don't see it appear on the site. However, we can see this and when we go to feature something it is very helpful for us if we have a description of the entry by the author. Try to keep your description brief and to the point. Follow the format you see us using on the front page and in our various showcases. If you leave a good description we may leave it as the official description when we feature your entry!

The more you can do to help us, the faster we can feature your work!

Yah neither did I. I just figured that it would error out the upload if you left one of the fields blank...oh well, I guess I will make sure to keep writting the descriptions then.

Actually, that is just the description it gives when you go to the flash. Sometimes it doesn't always fit, thats why it leaves a "..." after it sometimes.

What Wade is atlking about is a completely different thing, if I understand it right.

Sadly, many are too lazy, or busy, to give a description though some great submissions have had "none" as the comment. Still, why is this being asked? Not many good artists who are featured on the front page leave nothing in the desciption. Is it that they go straight into long paragraphs about the production and other crap other than the movie? Still, can encourage people to do this stuff enough.

We will have a new feature in the future that will allow us to bulid collection pages, series pages, etc, muct easier. Basically it's a matter of plugging in a movie ID and it will bring up the icon and the description. If everything looks good, our work is done and the entry is featured. However, if the author doesn't provide us with an icon or description we will have to go through the entry and make an icon, and type up a description.

We may even appoint users to help build collections and maintain them. So we want as much as this information filled out as possible.

Descriptions and titles should always be grammatically correct. Don't put in something like "some dude gets killed, yeah" as if that was the official description you aren't going to get many people checking it out.

Wade are you talking about the ADD to collection button , because i don't think everybody should be able to use this, only people with over a certain amount of experience or something, like with the voting on the winner of the prize,
