Before effin covid I did a ton of 5Ks and half marathons and I walked those.
I like walking tbh.
If I lived in the city I'd probably walk everywhere, but it's super spread out down here. We don't even have public transit. We drive everywhere.

While camping me and my family got stuck on the side of a moutain and it took and hour to get down from the mountain in the pouring rain and on top of that we had to walk back to the camp site witch took another 2 hours by the end of it my legs felt like bricks. I don't know how many miles it was but to me it felt like 140 miles of nonstop pain
In a day? It was over 12 miles. I was collecting cans and trash along the roads.
Used to do that a lot. Found some neat items doing that plus made a little money off of the bottle returns.
