I want to be fully transparent about how I'm choosing between first and second choices, because some people have privately inquired about it.
First, my main goal with this system is to distribute the workload somewhat evenly between the challenge designers. I don't know what will happen at the end, but I would like to avoid a scenario in which some designers get 10-20 songs while others get much fewer. The balancing won't be perfect, and it could end up being unnecessary depending on turnout.
Second, EverReverb has two challenges, so I'm assigning people to his groups at a slower rate. LD-W said he's working on a second challenge, so that will also be the case with his groups.
Third, I believe the event is more attractive with more challenge options open, and having a higher turnout is good for the community because it can spur more activity.
If there's a second video game challenge event, I plan to make changes so that more people get their prime group.
On another note, three people have said they'll create new challenges. I don't have exact times as to when they'll be added.

VGM is wide ranging, do you have restrictions on chipset? Are we using chiptunes, FM or am I able to use modern instruments? Track length? Multitrack limits? What effects are viable?
