Pretty much 100% completed Nexomon: Extinction. Now the only thing left is to level up all the Nexomon I've obtained. I've also caught another Cosmic Nexomon from my last update on this thread, this time the normal-type Runk, a delinquent rat Nexomon. The Cosmic Nexomon rate slightly goes up the more Nexomon you obtain, and combine that with the 5 Cosmic Charms the best rate is 1/1607, which is better than the Shiny rate in most Pokemon games.

To 100% complete the game, you just need to collect all 381 Nexomon and max out your reputation, which basically functions as your high score. The reputation goes up for collecting different Nexomon, battling tamers (rematches don't count), and completing both story quests and side quests. As for what the max reputation is, it's 2267.

I've heard that there's DLC planned in the future, so looking forward to that.

And just got around to updating Pokemon Shield for the Crown Tundra. The only reason why I didn't do so immediately when the DLC came out is thanks to me having too much fun with Nexomon.

Crazy that among the first wild Pokemon you encounter is Amaura... and I think this is the first time a fossil Pokemon can be found in the wild rather than a fossil as usual. What makes this funny is that the Pokedex entry says they're extinct, and yet you can see a population of them in the overworld.

And I found out that every fossil Pokemon can be found in the wild, including Tyrantrum (a t rex Pokemon). Apparently, they revived them all from fossils and the Pokemon found themselves in the wild. Seems like the Pokemon version of Jurassic Park really did happen...

I was distracted by IRL crap, so won't be able to continue FF remake until next week.

However, I have been playing Among Us when I can.

I don't think this game has any replayable value to me. I platinumed it because its FINAL FANTASY but after playing it through twice and some chapters more than twice and with the changes to the original I don't think I can face it again. I mean I loved it do not get me wrong. I felt so emotional from the start right up to Sector 7 and beyond but it just got a bit silly.

Part 2 I cannot wait enough for though. To see the continent will be a joy.. I hope.

Looking forward to finishing as on my original playthroughs I never played the Investigations games and Duel Destinies and Spirit of Justice. I just stopped with Apollo and forgot about the series. Its good to get back into it.

I agree.... the 2nd playthrough on HM was pretty grueling... and then doing some chapters like 3 different ways for the trophies was pretty brutal.

Due to more stupidity, I might have to wait another week before I can keep playing FF7 remake. I am trying to be patient, sometimes that is all you can do.

I am looking for shorter game to play while I wait.

Just completed a playthrough of Carto. It's a short indie game as you can beat it in a day, but to me it makes up for that for being fun, enjoyable, and adorable.

What the game doesn't tell you is that there's secrets to collect. On my first run I found 5 out of 6, not that I'd tell you what they are.

Playing the game Darkside Detective on the Switch. A neat pixel-art game that consists of a series of small cases to solve concerning the paranormal. Short, but enjoyable. It's worth to check out everything just to see what the dialogue and descriptions are due to this game's sense of humor.

Completed two of the cases so far. Second case was naturally longer than the first, but you can still do them both in a day as I estimate my playtime so far to be between one and two hours.

Completed all 6 cases (thus beating the game as the credits rolled on the last case), and doing so unlocked 3 bonus cases. Working on case 7 now, and of course the first bonus case is the Christmas episode!

Playing a turn-based RPG called Doom & Destiny, and it's a loving parody of various games. It starts as a parody of Dungeons & Dragons (I think, don't play that game), then it delves into Final Fantasy, Legend of Zelda, and Lord of the Rings. And yeah, this game is about as crazy as you'd expect it to be, I'm literally at a Christmas-themed village at this point in the game. And it's on the Nintendo Switch, which is funny as not only does it do a parody to Zelda, but from the e-shop I saw it also does a parody to Super Mario too. It's also earned its M rating, as not only does it have strong language (i.e. asshole) but of course mentions of sex-related things too (most of that is for humor though).

So yeah, it's a rather enjoyable game.

And got to said Super Mario part, which is Chapter V. It's actually the shortest chapter should you win the story fight you're supposed to lose, as instead of being captured and having to escape you just continue on the to path to the next chapter. Said story fight is the Bowser stand-in sending his whole army after you in a series of six non-stop fights. It's tough yeah but not impossible. My party was about level 47 as a result of grinding to get money for all the skills and equipment and completing the monster side-quests I came across.

Anyways according to the list of quests there seems to be just two chapters left to complete. Right now I'm in Chapter VI, and it's basically Japan pop-culture as a whole being parodied. Probably a few references in this area I've missed as I don't consider myself well-versed in Japan culture, but I do recognize Pokemon, Dragon Ball (with the Master Roshi stand-in of course being a perv), anime mechs, I think the school genre, even a reference to Hentai.

I've been replaying Demon's Souls and that game has a lot of problems that I'd glossed over in my memory.

Difficulty curve being number 1. The game allowing you to go to any Archstone after beating Phalanx absolutely fucks any sense of balance, since the devs have no way of predicting what level you'll be when you get there. I did 1-1, 1-2 and then 2-1, 2-2, 2-3, and then nothing in the game has been a challenge since. I remembered it being the easiest Souls game, but I didnt remember the majority of the bosses melting in literally 5 or 6 hits.

The weapon upgrade system compounds the issue. Instead of spreading out upgrade material, so you need to progress a certain distance into the game before you can upgrade it too far, they're tied to locations instead. So for example all the Greystone is in 2-2, as in you get shards, chunks and pure Greystone in the same area, so once you clear 2-2 you can max out any weapon that requires it. By the time I left Stonefang I had my +5 Crushing Knight Sword which I'll never need to upgrade again.

The bosses, when you actually get to fight them and they don't die from you giving them a stern look, are some of the weakest in the series too. Flamelurker is incredible and still had my white knuckling, down to my last bit of grass, desparately trying to get that last hit in even after all this time, and Allant is cool, but that's about it. Even the Maneaters, who I remembered as an intense, manic encounter, had the second one's AI freak out and refuse to do anything but fly around and not attack me, forcing me to just pull out a bow and finish him off, which is a bit of an anti-climax.

I still think it has the best world and atmosphere of the lot, but it's definitely aged poorly. I'll be very curious what the reaction from first timers will be when the remake drops.

Pool of Radiance (Amiga). It's one of those old D&D games, I think they are also known as "Gold Box". Anyway, that shit is fucking HARD. Right now I am in a Kobold cave and I am supposed to beat three waves of like 10,000 Kobolds in a row, while I can't rest between the waves and on top of that I get shot at between them, further eating away at my HP. And I am almost at max level, too.

Torchlight II

Needed a game to play when I come home from a family hoedown drunk.

A hack n' slash dungeon crawler.

It's light on story, but I played the first one on the 360, and they connected the story from that.

My one problem is - no Alchemist class. Had a lot of fun with that class in the last one.

It's a mindless collect-a-thon, but it's good fun for the inebriated.

Playing this go round as a female Berserker, goes by the name Bloodwitch.

My pet musk ox is named Moonhorn.
