Hi Newgrounds!
Once again I emerge to be scouted by some kind soul. Third time's the charm hopefully.
And my latest piece - Screamer.
Hi Newgrounds!

My vision of Tiffany Aching from Terry Pratchett's "Wee free men".
if you ever hope to be scouted you're going to have to up the presentation factor by several magnitudes. single penciled figure on a sheet of paper is never going to get you scouted. consider either inking, coloring or shading in your figures with contrast, and making sure the photo is absolutely on point and you might have a chance. you could also transition to digital art like most do.
Thank you so much for your feedback. I do plan to make transition to digital but at the moment don't have the necessary tools. As for inking or shading, I'm gonna need to take some courses. If anybody has some good suggestions for that please share. In the meantime I'm gonna finish all my drafts that I've accumulated over these several years.
I started watching tutorials and reading textbooks on drawing, and I think that posting here shaded cubes, spheres and all the exercises I've been doing is dumb. So I'm gonna post a little something I drew just to keep it interesting.
Bride.
Tried mixing some of my old shenanigans with new ones. Looks a bit weird.

Your drawings are telling us other wise.

You should also post those exercises here.
The work you're currently posting isn't bad either. I like the silhouettes of your figures, and your lines are pretty nice. You really need to up the contrast though. Look into getting some markers, or illustration pens; even something as simple as using a bic pen can do a lot to help achieve this if you're on a tight budget or there are no art stores around you.
A lot your work has the idea of shading in them already, the only problem is its just edge shading with no real tie to a light source, and there isn't a whole lot of it anyway, just a few little hatching lines. Work on paying more mind to shading and not being afraid to use more shadows. Make your blacks actually black, make your characters and compositions fill the page more, and spend more time overall on not just getting a drawing done, but rendering it out and finishing a drawing. Don't be afraid of overworking drawings too much, you can't learn where to finishing without taking a few dozen too far!
As for resources, @art101 here on Newgrounds has some resources that can help you out. Sorry i don't have a more comprehensive list of resources on hand, but if you have any specific questions feel free to ask.
Wow! Thanks for all the kind words. Since I started with the basics it's really just cubes or balls with shades. And I fail even that yet. I will post something presentable for sure.
As for using pen, I'd really love to but am afraid of errors. I will do it anyway. Maybe next time.
And thanks for the useful link. Gonna look into it right away. Don't have any specific questions at the moment but I'll keep it in mind.

Infinity Train, one of my all-time favorite shows might get cancelled. A tragedy for animation no less. So I decided to weigh in on the #renewinfinitytrain trend on twitter with this little tribute.
Mooncake and Gary from Final Space goofing around. Something warm and cute for you.
The result of TamberElla's tutorial on DeviantArt which got me a badge, I dunno. I'm not used to work with color so I had to steal my kid's pencils for that.
A quick doodle. Asked my son to give me a random line and turned it into this.
Fooling around with one of my favorite wholesome characters - Mooncake from Final Space.
Snail view. Trying my hand in perspective and testing my new tablet. Digital art is still pretty far off but I'll get there.
The closest thing I have to an OC. Let's call it Shai for now.
A bit late to the party but here's my take on that gorgeous Vamp lady. Also, tentacled version, cause I think she ought to have them.
