Operation Crypt Slayer

Operation Crypt Slayer is a personal worldbuilding project of mine that I have been working on for quite some time. It involves a world war between all of humanity against Vampires and their vast inexorable horde of fodder subsequently after the end of World War 2. The following main factions within the story itself are the following:

The Vampires themselves:

Immortal powerful undead beings that have existed for eons in the world of darkness. Having preyed on humanity and gained societal influence before deciding to use this power to enslave humanity as part of a grand and terrifying ritual to ascend to godhood. With the power to slaughter entire human armies by themselves, the Vampires have confined themselves to their towers and interdimensional fortresses and usually just assign their monstrous minions to do most of the combat.

The Soviet Union:

Following the end of World War 2. The Soviet Union unleashes the wrath of their secret technological arsenal upon areas afflicted by the Vampires. Forced to fight across miles upon miles of blighted land corrupted by unholy magics and twisted by otherworldly phenomenon, the Soviet Union fights a bitter war against the Vampires that continues to mount more and more bodies upon their side. Each and every day, the western front of the Soviet Union costs the lives of thousands of men and women serving to defend their homeland from the emerged Vampiric threat.

The United Global Defense Coalition:

Remnants of secret societies shattered and torn apart by the astonishing betrayal by their Vampiric masters. This secret cabal of immortal and wealthy individuals rule over the military might that is the United Global Defense Coalition. The United Global Defense Coalition oversees the entire North American continent, the Pacific, Africa, and South America. The United Global Defense Coalition now battles a plague of undeath on the African continent and a horde of monstrous giants in central Asia.

The Rattler's Insurgency:

Those that have taken up arms in their own homes that are now corrupted by the powers of the Vampires. The Rattler's Insurgency roots extend back to the ancient Penridge Academy. Their travels towards other realms have brought back artifacts from worlds left devastated by the Vampires in past conflicts, but their small size makes them unable to fight direct fullscale conflicts lest they risk being annihilated.

The Templar Ascendant:

Renegade and outcast Angels that have come to teach humans the art of death dealing and combat. The Templar Ascendant have come to guard the last vestiges of humanity in Europe from the influences of the Vampire and demonic in the area. These Ascendant Knights are few and far between in the ranks of the order, but their power and martial skill has enabled them to face down even the greatest of Vampire Lords.

Penridge Academy:

A mystical academy with its roots dating back to the mystical land of Avalon. Penridge Academy seeks to protect the Rune-Marked from the claws of the Vampires as the blood of mystically endowed humans enables a Vampire to gain a voluminous amount of power. Power capable of shattering city blocks and even scaling to the level of a Vampire Lord as if they had drank the blood of thousands of humans. Penridge Academy allies itself with the United Global Defense Coalition in the defense against the Vampire, even if their kind are subjected to being little more than experiments for the UGDC.

Operation Crypt Slayer: Vampiric War-1959(Part 1)

The Vampires are gaining more and more victories against the forces of man. Each and every battle ends with more casualties on the side of the humans than on the side of the Vampires, and each battle signals the possible end of human civilization throughout the planet and the start of a new age of blood and domination by humanity’s new vampiric masters. However, humanity will not relinquish their freedom and become mere cattle for the Vampire’s. Fighting with steel, grit, and fervor against the encroaching vampiric hordes. Beset on all sides by the likes of werebeasts, machines powered by blood and sacrifices, the undead, and monsters from realms beyond mere mortal understanding, the Vampiric War as of 1959, is one of deafening slaughter and carnage. 

Africa:

Africa; under the control of the United Global Defense Coalition, is infected by a cancerous plague of undeath throughout the entire continent. The origin land of humanity becomes full of the bodies of humans and horrific creatures. The United Global Defense Coalition and secretly with the aid of the Rattler’s Insurgency, the UGDC fights a long grinding war against the undead hordes that plague the birth of humanity. Many stoic regiments have been created to fight in the harsh conditions of Africa as the Vampires have cursed the area to have searing waves of heat that will occasionally come to melt the skin off of any living being as well as setting fires to an excess amount of land. The jungles and deserts have all been afflicted by nightmarish crimson storms that can obliterate entire armies if a commander is not careful; whether this is the result of vampiric sorcery or the various otherworldly phenomena the Vampires brought over. The United Global Defense Coalition’s scientists remain studious in their task to study the various plagues and creatures unleashed upon Africa in a copious number of highly secured research laboratories in Egypt. Egypt is one of the only human controlled territories in all of Africa. The UGDC has continued to unearth and discover ancient mystical and technological ruins belonging to ancient civilizations in that area and the goal is to possibly reverse engineer the antediluvian ruins to aid in the long war against the Vampires. But the Vampires continue their push against the humans in all of Africa by raising more and more undead from all throughout the continent. More disturbingly is that many armed expeditions within the Cursed Congo have discovered the ruins of an ancient and debased civilization that predates any known civilization by several thousand years. Could this possibly be the source of the Vampire’s seemingly inexhaustible numbers of undead throughout the continent?

Asia:

An army of undead giants have been stirred from their ancient slumber to continue their unending war against the works of man and man itself. Asia is the ground for battle between several insurgency cells against the Vampiric overlords and UGDC Army Corp in the region. It is here where the Vampires’ most darkest creatures are unleashed upon the humans of that continent. From towering bone giants to great lizards made of fire and stone and many more have come to sweep away the last pockets of resistance in Asia. Most sorrowfully, the UGDC was unable to evacuate the denizens of India from a plague known as the Odious Plague has wiped out approximately 80% of the population of all west Asian countries. Most of it being Vampire occupied land, the Vampires have created extensive and large breeding camps to act as blood farms for the Vampires. More horrendously is the existence of alchemical laboratories for which dark happenings transpire behind the walls of those bloodsoaked facilities. East Asian countries are all under the jurisdiction of a newly formed Eurasian compact and alliance between the People’s Republic of China and the Soviet Union, with Japan being part of the United Global Defense Coalition. An immense horde of werebeasts and a profuse number of other monsters have stampeded across all of China, wreaking untold havoc and butchering entire cities, towns, and villages. The Soviet Union has come to send what aid they could to provide to their Chinese allies as they are currently in the process of fighting the Vampire’s monstrous minions to the west and are in the midst of invading Ukraine after the test fire of a Reality Stabilizer missile. The Chinese maintain as much of a staunch defense of their homeland from the Vampire’s with the same zeal as their Soviet allies, although they fight with much less resources, they have been able to use nuclear weaponry in the defense of their country. Despite its limited success, they have turned much of their homeland into an atomic irradiated wasteland that requires the use of hazmat suits and vehicles to traverse. Moreso, the Vampires have entered the Chinese warzone by sending a small detachment of Vampire warriors to eliminate the presence of the Dragon Commandos. The presence of Vampires have caused the Soviets to send their most elite soldiers and most powerful infantry based weapons to deal with the threat of the Vampire war party sent to China as the war party has already massacred several Shock Trooper divisions.

Eastern Europe/Eurasia:

Russia remains a bulwark against the Vampiric threat for over 13 years. Elite divisions of Shock Troopers and Spetsnaz battle the Vampire’s minions across the tainted soil and rock of countries that were once satellite states of the Soviet Union. Though many have been evacuated from the encroaching legions of Vampires, the Soviets are still fighting a losing battle against the Vampires as they are now suffering a massive birth crisis across their state. Less and less people are being born as the dead continue to mount on the Soviet’s side despite putting up relentless resistance against the Vampires throughout Eastern Europe. Some propose Action-55; a top secret plan only known by the highest level of generals and politicians with the Soviet Union. It would radically change the demographics of the Soviet Union as they would know it and possibly introduce major societal clashes itself. Nevertheless, the Soviet Union remains a gigantic and staunch foe to the Vampires plan of world domination and conquest. Their vast resources and still relatively large numbers along with the fervor shown by their soldiers represents a critical deterrent to the plots of many Vampires, coupled with their growing military support from the UDGC has made it a laborious process for the Vampires to fully conquer all of Eastern Europe.

The Americas: North and South America

Unscathed by the Crimson Storm or the sorceries of the Vampires. The Americas are on par with the Soviet Union as they are part of the UGDC, but the citizens live much more comfortable and free lives as they are afforded more rights than the average Soviet citizen. However, this does not mean life is somewhat safe in both continents of North and South America. Outbreaks of the undead may occur in small cities and towns from time to time, requiring military intervention to be put down before such plagues become widespread and cause immense casualties in the surrounding area. Vampires are unable to roam clandestinely in societies as there are much more stringent protocols for detecting Vampiric presences put into place by the UGDC. The United Global Defense Coalition has received many survivors from Europe and has properly introduced them into formal society without any problems or issues, but the Vampires have worked to cause friction and strife in the UGDC’s territories by introducing the likes of Telepathic Viruses to introduce unnatural hatreds for one’s own kind and various memetic and biological plagues to further put strain on the UGDC. Canada, America, and Mexico are all founding members of the UGDC and their military is somewhat technologically matched with the Soviets, although there is much rivalry between corporations in the UGDC sphere of influence and there have been corporations that fight their own wars in the tainted lands of Europe, west Asia, and Africa. All member countries of the UGDC remain as one in the fight against the Vampires. Still, the UGDC may fall against the Vampires if they continue their frequent futile assaults into Europe.
