So every Thursday there's a One Hour Compo I participate in whenever I can. In a nutshell, we're given a random theme, be it a picture, a description, whatever, and we are given an hour to compose something for it. It's a lot of fun for me, and I want to try to do more things like that. Plus, I'd like to try to build my audience while I'm at it.

Well, I just looked at your profile and it sounds like you've got a pretty interesting job, so how about something aquatic - maybe the search for and finding the most fantastic treasure.

I'm not asking for genres though, so I can't guarantee that's what it will sound like. I don't even know what hardcore sounds like, happy or otherwise :P

I've actually got a few song title ideas for something along those lines, so that definitely sounds doable. In fact, I already have a piece called "Pottery Shards" that somewhat fits into that category, if you want to check that out. In the meanwhile, I'll come up with something new for the theme ^^

Theres a broad stroke tbh. The cartoon has a faster paced theme with those 90s vibes, whereas the 2002 film had a more orchestral bit with long strings, the recent game has a similar score to the Maguire films, whereas the recent spiderman film has nothing memorable tbh xD

I'll probably just look at some images of Spiderman and come up with something on the spot rather than listen to Spiderman themes in the past for a reference. I think it'd be more fun and interesting that way.
The One Hour Compos is something I do every Thursday, but I was just wanting to get random themes without the one hour restriction. That being said, when I make music like I normally do, I tend to make it piecemeal over several days. For the themes I'm getting from here, I'll probably attempt to finish them in one sitting each, so I'll probably do them in the order I receive them, and whenever I have a few hours or more of free time. So likely on the weekends or on my days off.

So, just letting everyone know I haven't forgotten about this, I've just been out at sea for almost 2 weeks with no internet or anything. Not a guarantee, but I'm gonna try to have the next one finished by the end of the week

Here's my attempt. This was definitely one of the harder themes to compose to, but is a really cool concept.
Alrighty, so I've got the next one just about done, and will likely upload it tomorrow. In the meanwhile, I'll only have 2 themes left at that point, so submit more themes please! It may take a while between uploads but at least they can be happy little surprises at that point! :D

Here's what I got. It ended out a lot more intense and dark for the theme than I initially intended, but I think it turned out pretty good overall.
