I got it, and I played a little last night. I haven't played a Smash Bros game since Brawl, so I've completely forgotten all of the controls. Time to re-learn it!
I was going to post up a thread where everyone can post Smash pics at but this is good enough. Did anyone took any pics yet?
I played it opening night to help my local arcade unlock all of the characters for a tournament their hosting soon.
Not really a big fan of any of the smash games to begin with, and all we did was use the language-switch glitch to unlock as many characters as we could in one night.
Vs mode is okay if you're into that sort of thing, but it plays pretty much exactly like smash 4 from what I could tell.
So if you like smash 4, you'll like Ultimate I guess.

Don’t get me wrong the game is good but after about 10 losses against my roomie I get tired of it. Fun for awhile though.
I haven't even got a Switch in first place. And since I'm PC only, I kinda doubt I'll be getting a new home console anytime soon. That said, it's clear Sakurai and the rest put their heart and soul into this masterpiece.

I'm not going 2 admit 2 something that's wrong. The graphics DID improve but that's not the point. The point is they did a whole re-imagining of all the character moves, they added a bunch of new characters and stages and items, ect. It's not a re-skin, it's a sequel.

I don't know how good the online is, but I'll reserve judgement. So far the game is exceeding all of my expectations.

What you're not getting is that Smash 5 is a fucking clone with little to no improvement but nintendo zoomers will buy it anyway because they grew up on the nintendo wii and gamecube. Original games get ignored because zoomers would rather tout e-celebs and buy nintendo switch games because "all of my friends have it nintendo is my childhood bro". This forces companies to submit to gimmicks and remasters

This is the first Smash Bros Iv'e owned myself, I have always played with my friends on their copies. So its nice to sit down and figure out the game at my own pace and practice with all the characters that fit my play style.
Roy and Ganon were my old stand-bys, but I'm diggin Falco, Bayonetta, and Chrom so far.
I heard King K. Rool can be an dick to play against sometimes.
