Hi everyone! My name is Lily Bly. I'm a romance author looking for a couple of voice actors for my 1nKed Decisions project. While I would prefer to have one voice for the hero & one for the heroine, we could certainly do it with just one dynamic actor.
**What is it?---recording audiobook scenes
To build a readership/followers base, I'm posting weekly scenes from a romance novel that I'm writing based off votes from readers. They picked the subgenre, settings, romance heat level, and other things, and now each week they'll make a few plot decisions. It's completely free to read and vote. The chapters alternate between the hero's and heroine's points of view.
The first volume takes place during the US Civil War, setting starts in South Carolina, and romance heat level is steamy.
I'd like to add an audiobook file to the scenes. At first, this would be unpaid work (I'm not getting paid for it either), but you will be fully credited, and I will promo you and your other works on my social media platforms and website. When an 1nKed Decision volume is complete, the parts will be removed from my website, and I will compile them into an eBook and the full version will be for sale on various platforms like Amazon. The audio would be compiled into an audiobook for sites like Audible, and you would receive income from sales.
**How long will it take?
The scenes are short. Between 1K and 2K words. Votes from the previous scene close Thursday at midnight, and I try to write the next scene on Friday to post by Monday or before. I would prefer to have audio weekly, but it could really go up whenever it is completed as new readers will be joining the story as it progresses and can read/listen to previous scenes. I don't know how long the book will turn out to be. Most likely between 50K and 70K words. I'm hoping to write two 1nKed Decisions novels a year.
Chapters will be composed of multiple scenes, so if I find different voices for the hero and heroine, you might record for 2-3 weeks and then the other actor would record, and then back to you and so on.

Name: Rachel Ness
Age: 25 yo
Sex: female
Description: Rachel Ness is a widow at the start of the Civil War. Although she was born and raised in Maine, her husband was from South Carolina. She moved to his family's plantation outside of Charleston with him. He died a little over a year ago, and she continues to live during her mourning period at the plantation with her brother-in-law and his two children.
Chapters will alternate between Rachel and the hero.
Name: Quin Hardy
Age: 30 yo
Sex: male
Description: Quin Hardy is a Scottish ship captain who is hired by the Confederates to run supplies through war blockades. His father was English and died when Quin was young. He was raised in the Scottish Highlands with his mother's family. Though he appears callous and unfeeling and just in it for the money his shipping runs will make, he falls in love with the heroine, Rachel, and attempts to help her out of some difficult situations.
Chapters will alternate between Quin & the heroine.
**ACCENTS
Southern US (supporting characters & antagonist, South Carolina specifically to start)
Northeastern US (heroine, Maine)
Scottish (hero, Highlands but light as he lived in England for part of his life)
Possibly British English for future supporting characters
**ROMANCE
The romantic heat level is steamy, not quite full-on erotic. This publication will be aimed toward adults 18 yo+
