Last night was the deadline for our Bowsette / Super Crown art contest. We received 563 entries and you can browse all of them via search or just browse scouted artists via the traditional grid. The ability to infinite scroll through the full size images would be snazzy and is on the NG wishlist. Anyhoo, check 'em out and drop some stars! We'll be deciding the winner over the course of this week.

Today @liljim pushed fixes for the remaining bugs that crawled out after our big voting overhaul update. Jim also made some updates so a lot more error messages are handled via lightbox instead of a traditional js prompt. The js prompts got the job done but they've increasingly become associated with bad ads and malware so we're working to snuff them out.

@PsychoGoldfish is deep into the forums update, which will introduce a new rich text editor. Assuming all goes well, the new editor will work its way into blogs and solve all the problems with the old blog editor.

Newgrounds has 1,928 Active Supporters right now, the most ever! With your help, we could cross the 2,000 mark and throw a little party.

Congrats to the winners and the runner ups!! Had my fingers crossed for Sublo and Tangy Mustard hittin top spots but I'm happy to see that people are diggin Starship Goldfish episodes, both are underrated and I hope to see them boom in popularity/appreciation.

It's so fucking tantalizing to see the supporter count at an all-time high, I wish it could just hit that 2,000. Even better would be ending the year at almost 300+ higher than last year, I'd legitimately throw some kind of event just for that and the people that made it possible.

The big obstacle this month is that we had a support boom last month, of which a reasonable portion were single month purchases - those will all expire later this month and we'll see a dip. It will take more than 70 people to hit and hold over 2000 by the end of the month. I hope that doesn't discourage anyone, though; we gotta power through!

The ideal goal is that the monthly voting system will break into four categories that include art and audio, it will work well on mobile and winners will actually get trophies on their profiles. It's just tough to get there with everything else we're trying to knock off the list.

Awesome! I remember the 1000-supporter goal in 2016. If five hundred additional supporters per year can be reasonably expected then that's very encouraging. Might be worthwhile to make a line graph of active supporters over time to highlight the positive trend.

IMO it's not so difficult to just upload some images to the dump whenever you need to share something, but maybe that could be linked from or integrated within the PM system somehow? Something like a simple attachment system that works via the dump, with an instant upload button that saves attachments there, adds in the link, and dump links then get parsed/styled in some nice way, as either a collective attachment list, or direct embeds, or just fancier links with info about the files?
