It's that time again-- last year's Inktober was pretty interesting with all kinds of different people participating, and quite a few even managed to get theirs done. For anyone who doesn't know, Inktober is where you draw (in ink) one image each day based off of some kind of prompt.

Here's this year's official prompt, wish you all the best of luck and may your pens have the greatest of ink.

I really hated starting at an up close pic of a spider for reference while I drew this. Yuck.

I love the linework on this-- the hatching makes it look so sinister and menacing.

Here's a scan of my day 1, I wanted to try some abstract but I wasn't really sure how to approach it.

also my hands are waaay too shaky for traditional without a sketch ooof

Hooray, an Inktober thread! I'm also following my own themes but I'l try to slip in a few coinciding prompts, just for an extra challenge.

I've forgotten how to do traditional though xD

So I am following your Prompt list year this year, if that is ok. Saves me time from having to think of my own prompts, which I might do next year.

That being said, I'm liking the detail in the hair. Very shiny.

Here's my day 2, reaaaally rushed since I have to leave in like 2 minutes for school. oof
Still has sketch lines since I can't seem to find an eraser.
This also made me realize how much time I normally take when drawing, so I might try speeddrawing like this for all of Inktober so that I can put in more accurate details with less time.

Here's this little sketch, I had another idea but it was scrapped due to just being weird and hard to follow...

It's a marshmallow roasting a human in a fire btw, hopefully the colours help illustrate that idea a little bit better

I hope no one can be shunned in this event.
As for shading, I don't mind making bold impressions along the side of what I would normally highlight with soft color tones.
Sometimes I use hashtags or curved lines to accent cheeks and curving objects like tales.

To insinuate the use of spells or magic I use sequential art, a lot. lol. Aren't they cute together?

I aint shunning anyone. I enjoy seeing all of your work. We all have different styles and that's something that has always fascinated me.
