I'm currently in the process of posting a bulk of art, some of which (Such as my college work.) dates back to roughly over 5 years ago! ^o^
I'm posting a maximum of 1 image per day, as I want to keep this topic frequently updated, but at the same time, I don't want to bump my own topic too frequently. :-)
As time goes by, the image posts will contain art that is more recent. I'm posting my art in order of age, starting this topic with the oldest art, and gradually working my way to the newest art. :-3
I still draw art to this day, so I will definitely be keeping at it! ^w^

My inspirations come from a wide array of sources, they can be anything from video game characters to everyday household objects. Some of my art pieces have more conscious influences than others. (I will typically point out particularly prominent sources of inspirations in the descriptions of my art, as and when it occurs.)
Subconscious influences in my drawings are somewhat common. Sometimes it's only afterwards that I consciously notice elements which I have designed similar to existing visuals, yet didn't realise at the time of drawing because I was "in the zone" so to speak.
Furthermore, certain pieces of art that I do start off from a word or phrase that I want to then translate into a drawing. I find it quite interesting to take a written or mental string of words and try to visualise them in an artistic fashion.
There are also times when I have no idea what I want to draw, so I just put pen to paper and see where I end up! :-3
I have had an interest in drawing since a young age, and come from a fairly creative family. My passion for art has grown a lot over the years; I have strived to become neater than before with my free hand, finely detailed pen drawings. ^_^
As time goes on and I post more of my art, you'll see increased varieties of inspirations and influences. :-)

Led pencil on cartridge paper observational drawing of a Star Wars R2-D2 die cast model.
I don't know why the model I drew from had 2 eyes, considering that its official design is a Cyclops. Maybe it was 'bootleg' merchandise, as I cannot find any other 2-eyed version after doing some searching online.
In hindsight, I should have photographed the model for reference.
Oh well, I still really like how this looks nonetheless. Definitely one of my strongest observational drawings. :-)

This is a project where each student could choose a topic/theme of their own to work from. I chose typography as my subject matter.

my biggest critique in terms of your design is that without reading what you say I cannot tell what your drawings are supposed to be.

That's a fair comment. Quite a lot of my art combines real life elements together with abstract/surreal influences, so my drawings are not always intended to depict immediately familiar or recognisable items that are grounded in realism.
That being said, my art varies from piece to piece with how fantastical or reality-based they are. Sometimes I like to mix both fantasy and reality aspects together into the same piece.
Some of my future art posts will include drawings that have deliberately realistic inspirations as their primary focus. :-)

I really like these letters. It's a shame they are so small, would have loved to seen a bigger, more refined (or even vectorized) version of this. Keep up the great work!!!

I'm delighted that you really like them; this is my favourite piece out of all my college work! Looking back at it all, Tasty Technology was a very satisfying typographical capstone to my 2 year Art & Design course. :-D
Yeah, unfortunately, all of my college work images had to be recovered from my (Now deleted/deactivated.) Photobucket account. I'm fairly sure that Photobucket downsized the original source images. I don't remember the size of the original source images, and I believe that they were sadly lost a while ago on a disk drive that I don't have access to. :-(
When I rebranded myself, and changed my online profile pictures and banners, I utilised this letter set. During that time, I went through the letters and cleaned them up, removing scanner artefacts and other blemishes. I will definitely upload the cleaned up letter set in future, although I currently have other art related priorities, so please don't expect the clean letter set just yet. :-)
As for keeping up the good work, there is still a sizeable backlog of my art to post in this topic, and I try to post another piece of art from that backlog each day. Cheers! :-3
