I used to believe that "No effort is ever wasted"—now I am starting to doubt it.

It's only wasted if you didn't gain anything from said effort. Fun. Experience. Whichever other positive attribute you can attribute it...

I gained heart-ache and empty wallet.

...and no experience? No lessons learned? No wisdom attained? If all such potential positive benefits are truly lacking then... yes that does sound wasted. :/

Such wisdom!

Well said, I guess I should just cling to it until I cannot support myself anymore. Perhaps, I will get it when I don't want it anymore or I'm not part of the living anymore.

Any details on what this that all this time, effort, and energy is going into that doesn't bear any fruit is might make it easier to troubleshoot potential causes/reasons it is like it is, and if there really is no way to get over that roadblock and make it virtuous.
I really don't believe there's any road that doesn't lead anywhere, sometimes it's just a lot more difficult to travers; sometimes you have to make your own entirely. Big question is: is it the right road? Will all this effort be worth it when you get where you're going? If you believe it is then: keep going! You can do it!
If you're not sure: best ponder alternate paths.

If you are heading the wrong direction, you won't succeed no matter how hard you try.
You should plan ahead and take logical steps to work towards your goals.
If you form an organized process to get there and still fail, at least you know have a process to try again or apply it to something else. Michael Jordan has a quote about how he has failed over and over again, and that's why he succeeds. It's definitely happened with me, you just have the perseverance to pick up, try harder, and self-evaluate.

Life is not a fucking game, you don't level up your skill in order to finish the inevitable main quest. You bet your time and effort and TRY to get something out of it.
My advice: Stop focusing on whatever roadblock you're at.
Rather than keep pushing and feeling like you're wasting energy, do something different. Take time away from whatever activity you're frustrated with and do something else. Learn a language. Master a game. Make sure NOT to think about what's troubling you.
After a while, return to the roadblock refreshed, and you'll most likely start seeing new ways around it.
Hope this helps!

You will get views up the ass even with no talent.
I'm working on it.

When that happens, it's usually something to learn from. You learn that, that specific thing isn't something you need in your life.
But you're also being very vague, so I don't know what this is about.
It's all shits and giggles until someone giggles and shits.

But I'm talking about my initiative on promoting beautiful music written for solo guitar. And it is something that I need in my life. I always hear my seniors say "take care of music, and music will take care of you—I am starting to doubt it.

Okay, well, for something like that, it does take a lot of time and effort. And just because it does doesn't quite mean you should give up on it.
Making music takes tons of effort. If it's your true passion, don't give up even when times get tough.

I have a feeling that I will be long gone when people starts to recognize my efforts. Just like all the old timer musicians that I knew. They worked hard all of their lives just to be given post humus recognition. Sacrificed a lot just the get the short end of the stick every time.

I've found what you're doing wrong.
Only keyboard has a wide enough range to make truly masterful compositions. Guitar is too inherently limited by only having 6 strings, and a 10 string guitar frankly might as well be a piano or a dulcimer.
The "solo guitar" pond is a big pond, and it has some massive fish in it. If you wish to be successful at solo guitar, you better be doing some Steve Vai "plays a whole song holding the guitar solely by the whammy bar" shit.
The history of jazz is littered with the corpses of those who assumed just because they were masters of their instrument they would be valued.
TL;DR: Talent is a lens. What you focus that talent on is more important than the talent. The talent is a means to an end. What you are showing is more important than how you are showing it.
