Traditionally five criminals would each be executed by a different method on each point of a giant south facing pentacle. The southern most point would be beheaded, the the left hand arm convict would be exsanguinated, the left horn convict would be poisoned, the right horn convict strangled, and the right hand convict bludgeoned. Their bodies would then be dismembered and buried in the fields with their heads going to the town skull rack. Their blood would fertilize the soil an the food saved in no longer feeding them all winter would make sure there would be surplus for winter.

Obviously people have forgotten that Satan is the Reason for the Season, and these days most people don't bother to draw a pentacle or sacrifice so much as a chicken.

I don't know if I should get a goat or a chicken this year.

Is it someone with convictions for things like petty theft and other small crimes?

Or someone who is a prime suspect but may or may not have committed the crime?

And then there are those who commit great crimes but are not considered criminally responsible.

8 If a bull is offered as a sacrifice to please me or to ask my blessing,[c] 9 you must offer six pounds of flour mixed with two quarts of olive oil. 10 Two quarts of wine must also be poured on the altar. The smell of this smoke is pleasing to me.

11-13 If you are a native Israelite, you must obey these rules each time you offer a bull, a ram, or a goat as a sacrifice. 14 And the foreigners who live among you must also follow these rules. 15-16 This law will never change. I am the Lord, and I consider all people the same, whether they are Israelites or foreigners living among you.
