Pneumonia

Yesterday I felt like shit and had a fever bad enough I was halucinating about chocolate with @nuclearworm. Thought I was getting the flu.

Today, I started coughing up blood and thought, "Well. That's not good."

Went to ER, I have pneumonia. They're letting me go home.

Anyone else on here ever have pneumonia?

I'm gonna go get a cheeseburger. This is lame as hell.

If I die, @cast gets my account. I already told him where my password is written down.

Pretty sure I had walking pneumonia a couple weeks back. Got a cold that started in my ears and over a few days moved down my pipes to my bronchial tubes. I had that really deep rattling cough for a week after everything else stopped bothering me.

I have not had the pleasure of coughing up blood or needing a nebulizer

At least once I had pneumonia, in high-school. I probably had twice or thrice afterwards but I hadn't the time to treat it.

I caught pneumonia during a school camping trip when I was like 9. I toughed it out and pretty much made a full recovery by the time we returned from the trip a few days later.

They told me as long as I don't have fever, I could go to work. So I went to work yesterday, and I was fine.
The only thing really bothering me is the coughing and not being able to breathe.

I have never had pneumonia. The sickest I have been was a 103 degree fever from common flu. Also,

It's always something with me. I've had scarlet fever and strep throat and tonsilitis like 7000 times.

Pneumonia's the worst. I had it in 9th grade and it was such a terrible feeling since I felt like I could never get enough air in. Plus, the antibiotics always make it worse with all of the nausea and vomiting.

Also now I want to get a burger. >:o

You're right, the worse feeling is not being able to get enough air in.

I had it when I was four years old and was apparently sick for six months. But I was too young to have any memories of it.

You're not supposed to get the pneumonia vaccine until you're 60 or so, but my husband has to get it at age 41 because the heart medicine he's on now apparently quadruples his risk.

I have a myriad of other health issues, but none that should imcrease my risk of pneumonia.

Once I am better, I will go get my flu shot. I usually get that every October.
