Welcome to the 4th annual Newgrounds Underdogs’ Audio Contest! :D The NGUAC is a wonderful opportunity for experienced and less experienced musicians alike to learn from their peers, become more integrated into the community, and gain some exposure on the site.
AWESOME! What do I do to enter?
Just link the piece you want the judges to consider in this thread. The piece can be something you wrote years ago, or you can make it from scratch specifically for the competition. You can also change the piece you’d like us to judge by CLEARLY stating in the thread you’d like to change it and providing a link to your new piece.
How long do I have to enter?
Until 23:59 (11:59 p.m.) Eastern Daylight Time on June 30th, 2017
Okay. Then what?
Immediately after the tryout submission phase, the participants will be grouped evenly based on their fan totals, and about half of them will be accepted into the next round. Participants won’t directly compete with others outside of their groups until the Final Round. There are 3 rounds over the course of approximately 2 months.
What happens if I win?
Prizes will include forum signatures for the top 3 finishers boasting of their success in the competition, as well as spots on the front page of the Audio Portal the week after the competition.
Who decides whether I win?
Judges this year include @Bad-Man-Incorporated, @FinnMK, @Johnfn, @PeterSatera, @Samulis, @Sequenced, @Trunotfals, @ZipZipper, and me. We’re also still looking for judges, so please PM me if you’d like to nominate one. For the sake of avoiding over-indulgence, please don’t nominate yourself.
