You might consider adjusting the sharpness, brightness and contrast post-work to restore some of the focus. A good tip is to print your digital work to get an idea of what it will look like as a physical copy and to then apply the changes you see under natural blue light from the sun, it can make a lot of difference!!

Thank you so much ;__; I've had a lot of trouble with the sharpness, I still have to try and work on that. Printing sounds really good, I only have a black-and-white printer so that's a little complicated with it....
Thank you for your time!

I've been studying adaptive physiology for like 14 hours this weekend... starting to get tired ^^' I'm happy I managed to fit this in the evening. This is done referencing my own hand and not from a photo :D I need to do more life drawing overall...

Thats actually a really nice bear!
There's still something could do like adding more lighter and darker values to really show to forms of the bear. But more study and observation paintings should really just make you imrpove. You can really just go up from here!
Keep it up! :D

Edit:
OH! And forgot to add that you should watch Sinix's video on how he paints. I honestly believe he's like the most easiest person to explain how painting anatomy works and look appealing in applying basic value and warm and cool colors on skin.

Drawin' and being trash. :3

Ohh yeah Sinix is really awesome, I haven't taken the time to study him as I should yet but I'll have to do that
Thank you for your positive words! They make me real happy ^^ I'm still trying to figure out values but I hope they'll come eventually :D but I really agree that it could have more form than what it is now, I'll have to keep that in mind! Thank you so much!

My first try without help after following Aaron Blaise's tutorial on how to paint waves. I hope it looks like water :D

I did an anatomy study of a whale but it was a real hassle as accurate reference material is close to nonexistent
But it's done now muhaha

Okay so, I've pretty much skimed through all of the pieces here and first I'd like to say that you have come a looong way and the progress is really visible. I didn't realize that you've picked up drawing only one year ago! you have learned a lot more than me in like more than two years!! :o

Obviously there are still little mistakes but I am confident that you will correct them rather quiclky given the rate at which you draw :D I'm probably not going to review all of the work you have on this topic because obviously, there is A LOT :D and also because apart from two or three I don't have a lot to say :)

I will however try to give my feedback on any further work you will upload as I think they are very promising (I mean genuinely promising, not like I'm an expert or something :D)

Ahh sorry for the late reply! Thank you so much for your kind words, that is some really high praise and I am absolutely honored!
Honestly I think most of my progress can be accredited to Schoolism (an online art school), it has wonderful classes that go over the fundamentals quite deeply. There is still lifetimes of knowledge to learn but I'm fighting it little by little ^^
Really thank you for this, I've been exhausted on a really demanding field course but this made my day!

Hey, nice drawings! I like both as they all look very good, the fur and the overall anatomy are both very well done. I noticed some minor little things (nothing horrible obviously :) )
The first time i saw this animal I thought it was a dog or a coyote, probably because of the ears that look a tiny bit too shallow, or maybe its just the angle but I wouldn't have thought of a wolf at first glance. I'm not saying it doesn't look like a wolf of course but just pointing that out, I am pretty sure you had references maybe its just a different variety of wolves but anyway, small detail :D
Also, on the second one, the source of light seems to be behind right? I would probably have had a small higlight running over the head's outline but it's more of a personal preference, yours look fine.
Apart from those very subtle things (I don't even consider those mistakes) your drawings are very good!

Honestly I though the reference photo as a coyote or something as well but it said wolf :D I think at least some southern populations drop quite a lot of fur in the summer so that could be why? I can be mistaken
The lighting probably has more than one issue but I'm working on it :'D slowly but hopefully more or less surely
Thank you again for taking the time to critique!

Meh, I'm not a specialist in wolves anyway :D your way of lighting still looks way better than mine :) and your welcome, my pleasure!

Another anatomy study! A bear this time, just used the bear illustration from a while ago as a template. Could be better but it's done so I'm not complaining about that :D

A study of Ruan Jia's work, I just changed the subject. I'm drooling over his work seriously

I found out a way to convert photographs to usable lineart so I needed to put it into good use right away :D I'm using the same lineart as well to practice with different lighting schemes so I'll post some more soonish

Here's another study of Ruan Jia's work, I just ended up modifying the subject again since the character didn't look anything like the original :D

I've been wanting to do another self-portrait/ profile picture for a while now, I finally got to it! I'm really surprised and happy to see how much improvement there has been in just a year and a few months (the one from last year is on the previous page)! I can't wait to see what happens in a year from now ^^

I agree, you've improved so much that it's actually really inspiring. Congratulations to you!

Here's a portrait I did of a friend who was amazingly enough kind to sit for me for a few hours! It's surprisingly difficult to paint when the image in front of you is not a photograph
