I need to put together a more well-thought out post but I haven't had a lot of sleep between Thursday and today so I felt the need to say SOMETHING asap!

We had an amazing and inspiring Pico Day party at the office this weekend and I feel blessed to know so many wonderful talented people who are willing to spare the time and expense to make the trip out here. Something really special is going on around here and it's hard to put it all into words... NG has such an amazing community.

Thank you everyone for being part of NG! Really excited to keep building towards the future and see how it all unfolds.

That was an ongoing theme of the night for me. A lot of people were mentioning how Newgrounds had a much more friendly, creative, and humble community compared to similar sites (like YouTube). There is such a broad range of creativity among us, and it's an honor to be part of it.

Had a great time celebrating Paco's many achievements in an actual genuine 100% Newgrounds office.

It was a good time getting to meet a lot of cool dudes like that Fox Mc @Cleod-9 guy and seeing what Flash is ACTUALLY capable of (people ought to give this guy credit, 10 years of toiling on his fangame later and he's making Flash do some crazy shit with his expansion characters that he actually somehow got working despite how absurd it sounds.) I also got to meet such cool cats like @cecameron, @voltage, @ScepterDPinoy, and convinced @MindChamber to show up, who is even awesome-er irl. Also nice to get my butt whooped by @Mike live every once and a while in SF3 (a lot of good SF players on the couch :) ). Also @The-Swain confirmed Grillmaster 2016?

Yea i'm with you on that Tom, there's a weird change in the air I think a lot of people can feel. It's a good thing this is going to be an interesting next few years for the site and other people. Managed to catch the livestream Saturday before heading to work and it looked amazing. Hopefully next year will be better!

Was feeling really bummed when the chat FIRST went up after not having money to go this year,

...but the way it was handled, having the day off of work and being able to announce the new Simple Line project (Animixtape), and being able to chat and share stuff, meet and talk with people, get some surprise recognition from some of t he crowd from way back, it was all very happy and encouraging on a personal level. Will continue to donate when paychecks roll in, this and patreons of artists who work on stuff to make this venue available, and then fill it up with content are amazing.

-and the stream was the icing and the cake; felt like a party even across the country. Made me proud to be back actively, humbled and thankful (and at times a lil' weirded out) to be part the most killer, supportive and fun animation art and music community on the internet. Hearing that roar when Youcis showed her stuff was the kinda stuff that makes newgrounds a place people who create or are supportive fans of creativity want to be a part of, 21 years and runnin'.

Thank you Tom and all the NG crew again for all your hard work, the event, the props, the history, the everything, I am going next year no matter what kind of credit line I have to pull, haha.
