Cannot run Keyframe Caddy on CS6

So i downloaded Keyframe caddy for my Windows 10 PC and cannot get it properly running. I loaded through extension manager and installed it, but under Other Panels i see nothing. I've already tried this (found from an old post):

"OMG!!! I finally got it to work after seeing this. Here's a step by step way of getting keyframe caddy to work on CS6:
1. Make sure you have the following downloads:
a. Keyframe Caddy 1.1.1 (Legacy Version)
b. 7-zip (website)
c. Adobe Extension Manager CS6 (Website)
2. Open your Extension Manager and go to Tools > Convert MXP Extension to ZXP
a. select KeyframeCaddy.mxp to convert it into a ZXP file
3. Now that you have a ZXP file of the Legacy version of Keyframe Caddy, right click the ZXP file and go to 7-Zip > Open Archive
4. A new window will open up, right click on KeyframeCaddy.mxp and select "Edit". A Notepad will open up.
5. on the line "<product name="Flash" version="9" maxversion="11.5"" change the "11.5" to "12"
6. Save and exit the Notepad
7. Now double click the ZXP file or select it through Extension Manager and install it as normal.
8. You should now see Keyframe Caddy under Window > Other Panels (right above extensions)
Good luck! :)

by doing this, I was able to install 1.1.1 in extension manager, however still do not see it in Flash and cannot use it.
My animation NEEDS this plugin, so any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Try looking under Window > Other panels or Extensions and see if it's there.

I've taken all those steps and it still does not show up. I know what you're supposed to see but it does not show up for me and apparently MANY people have had issues installing key frame caddy on adobe CS6.

I think the free version of keyframe caddy only works with older versions of Flash, I think you have to pay for the more recent versions.

@NeemaFahimy, on the cloudkid website it says that version 1.2.1 works with Adobe Flash CS6 and is free: http://cloudkid.com/tools/keyframe-caddy/, maybe you should consider using version 1.2.1.

If the new custom panel is not visible under Other Panels, you should check if it was copied properly. Follow this link to locate your Flash config folder and check the WindowSWF folder in it. You should have an .swf file in there. If it's there and it still doesn't work, then the Keyframe Caddy version is indeed unsupported by Flash CS6.

If it's not in the folder, try packaging the ZXP file or whatever that you edited with Notepad into an MXP file first by 1) converting ZXP to MXP if there is such an option; 2) manually taking out all items from ZXP file into some new place and packaging the .mxi file into an MXP yourself along with all the other needed files. Then you need to try installing MXP.

Hi! I went to the "Where to find it tab" in the adobe creative cloud site you linked me and clicked "Download / Install your Add-on another way" so I could install KeyframeCaddy through the Cs6 Extension manager. I double click the .zxp file and get this error message: "the extension package is not valid. the extension will not be installed"

Any idea what I can do from here?

I tried unpacking the downloaded 1.2.1 ZXP file with 7-zip which is supposed to open them easily, but 7-zip said it's not a valid archive. Forums say it can only open ZXP in presence of Extension Manager.

Try writing to asupport@adobe.com and ask them to unpack the ZXP file for you. You can then manually place all contents to their folders inside Configuration folder, according to paths written in MXI file (which should be viewed by Notepad).

I do not have Flash CS6 installed, only Flash 8, so I am unable to test or check anything from this point.

You're a life saver. Was going crazy trying to find 1.1.1 for CS3 thinking that no one bothered to archive it.

Don't want to spam the topic, guys, but why not go with the much richer in functionality and actively developed Smart Graphic Control panel?
