I can assume you're attempting cloth studies and if you are then that's great. Personally, I can only hope to see more cloth and foliage incorporated into your work to help you set the mood in your future pieces.

Thanks lads!
I am attempting cloth studies and I am also working on bringing more materials into my drawings, although, I'm currently working on fundamentals rather than finished pieces.

As for you Waxlimbs... Here's some more thumbnails!

Working on structure and perspective, I need to be able to show scale and height. This is something that I've been struggling with, the scale is absent from most of my work. However, this is a good step on the way!

I really want to get into this type of art, because I feel that it has longer lasting appeal (although I could never finish one of these in just 1 hour and 30 minutes, let alone 5 minutes!). Excellent works. You should exhibit some eventually. Even in some of the more simplistic ones, there is value. It works both ways if you know how to do it and that applies to all art in general.

Thanks for the kind words! If you want to do what I do, go ahead an do it!
I haven't even been doing art for a year yet, If you commit, you can do anything :)

If you want to, you could check out my youtube channel. I only have one video at the moment (uploaded today) but I will be making a lot more of them. Speedpaints, techniques, tutorials! At the end of the year, I will be starting year two of art and I plan on documenting all of it! :)

Man, thats what I call a good start!
I can definetly see you work as a concept artist some day.
Who or what was your inspiration to get started?

Thanks bro!
I used to play League of Legends a lot a few years back and always used to enjoy watching their artist create the character concepts. I left it there until one year ago when I got Photoshop through my school, didn't think much of it until I randomly stumbled across a speedpaint on youtube and thought to myself: "Hey, I always wanted to be able to do this and now I have photoshop... Why not give it a shot?"

Anyhow, got a wacom intuos pro for christmas and started drawing :)

Working on lineart and design, I'm trying to keep my rendering minimal yet effective. It looks a lot like sketchup even though this is completely made with photoshop!

Any thoughts?

The binding covernant
"The travelers must go beyond the reach of the citadel and venture into the abyss. Here they will begin their search for the scrolls, hidden away a long time ago, never intended to be seen again."

Your decision making has improved. You're digging into the canvas to really bring out what you like.

The usage and placement of set pieces are better as well. They fit in nicely with all the openness that you normally create. They add a lot to the composition.

Have you considered usage of weather such as rain yet?

Thanks for the feedback! It's always appreciated.

Weather is something that I have been thinking about for a while, I have "How to render" by Scott Roberson but I intend to finish his "How to draw" first. My focus lies on design rather than rendering at the moment, it is very important since my main interest is concept art.

I will focus more on rendering once I begin having better Ideas. As you can see, the ships in the image above lacks a lot in design and this is due to the illustration heavy focus in the image.
