If you haven't had the money to support the Madness: Project Nexus 2 Kickstarter, you can still do something awesome to help - Join the Project Nexus 2 Thunderclap! You give Thunderclap permission to post as you on Facebook / Twitter / Tumblr, then on September 20th, EVERYONE auto-posts at the same time, creating a blitzkrieg of awareness.

The Best of August will be announced tomorrow; today is Throwback Thursday! Everything in this list is from this week in NG history. We'll start with games this week and movies will be in the first reply.

If you're new to NG, introduce yourself in this thread and let us know what encouraged you to create an account!

I also love to see people note their favorites from the lists - it let's me know that making these lists is worth the effort of combing through NG history.

The biggest standout was this week in 2010, there were a whole bunch of great games over the course of a few days.

Nah, you should turn Newgrounds HQ into a deathtrap and start hiding golden tickets in tank awards.

There are some old favourites here. However, it does remind me that what had brought me to this site is a decade old now. To think I've been around here for this long.

Done and convincing the gf to do the same. Hope they make it! I wish I could donate but I'm a broke cracker.

Ahh so many great submissions I remember from my youth! Also have $200 for Madness: PN2! It's the least I could do. (I believe I've just pushed it up past $30k mark. So hope it gets funded, me wants to design something awesome for the game :D Wishing them all the best of luck for the fundraising!

Awesome, you were the one who pushed it over!

The Thunderclap has 39 of the 100 required participants, although it can go over so it would be cool to see it go way over.

It was the least I could do, Madness is prolly one of the reasons why I have such a warped mind and love for monochrome and red :D. I've added to the thunderclap thingie too! Hopefully it'll all be funded, 'cause I can't wait to play it!

Wait, weren't we supposed to vote on the monthly favorites for August at some point?

Happy Wheels and one of the Madness films? That's some major nostalgia right there.
I feel ancient, Happy Wheels is 4 years old. That's a game I played for hours upon hours. Even made a few of my own obstacle courses in the game.

So next week's throwback will be the post-9/11 flashes. Should be interesting.

I don't see why thunderclap needs a minimum # of participants.
Anything helps, right?

It's not like kickstarter where a project can fail from not being fully-funded.

Scuba was the best minecraft like game I ever played. It had all the feels and it was very well balanced and had a design of its own. I wonder, though. Did this thing used to have medals? If not - it's one of the games, you have to play, medal whore or not.

Kingdom in the clouds was hard as fuck for me, but I liked the art and the fighting for the achievements. One of my faves!

This game is one of the most awesome programming skill usage games evar! I remember being a bit proud of myself for having solved most of the riddles without a walkthrough (I'm getting lost at logic puzzles a lot, usually, you see...)

Apples in the Tree is my absolute all-time-favorite (along with Time Fcuk and Achievement Unlocked 2)! It beats a couple of games that I spent money on and it certainly stands out in the vast crapcloud that inhabits NG-servers. From character design to awesome atmosphere, from choice of music to story - everything in this game is marvellous.
AND YOU CAN GET AN AUTOGRAPH BY OZZY!!!
I didn't see anything by him in a long time, so I guess he's no more an active member on NG, which is a sad thing despite of his interview stating:
"If you ever leave Newgrounds how would you like to be remembered?
No one will remember me when I leave Newgrounds, there's no point on thinking about that."

Thanks for the throwback, Tom, you didn't comb in vain.

Well, I'm not that new here, but still... Well, whrn I was looking for good animation tutorials on youtube, I found Draw With Jazza. I found about NG from him and I liked the community here, and I made an account. I really love NG!

Kind of hard to say that the week of September 11th was good, but we got a lot of stuff out. My favorite is the Messed Up Bible Stories episode.

Madness, Knox & Miss Dynamite always bring back good memories! So much stuff yet left to partake in though.
