If the you and/or the other judges have time and you had written things down for the entrants, it might be helpful for their growth as game designers to see what your thoughts on there games were, perhaps through a pm or something. Just a thought.

Wonderful news! Great jam, fierce competition, nice games : )
Thank you all for that! We are very happy because of this second place. Glad you enjoy our game. Since we get Stencyl Studio we will start a new project of standalone, full game - it will be a simulation of SF sociaties. Keep zen and stay awsome guys ; ).

Fair enough :p I guess ALZ might have been a bit short for the competion, although no minimum length was of course stated among the rules. Another factor might be that the gameplay factor was so low, even if it indeed was a great game/ interactive movie :')

I personally liked Pine even better though! Have you tried that? :'D It still needs some refining, but I still think Dylan did an amazing job with that game! XD

I dunno, although I'm really happy with how ALZ turned out visually and story-wise, it was pretty lacking in having equally deep gameplay, which I feel was probably a large factor in the game-oriented competition. I don't think ALZ needs deep gameplay to accomplish what I intended it to accomplish, but I can see why it wasn't chosen as far as judging a game-creating competition goes.

"Some refining"? Haha that thing needs a full-out overhaul with all the bugs and design issues I'm finding out about. I probably should have waited to publish that one instead of pushing it through so quickly. I had actually unpublished it on Friday so that I could take my time reworking it, but then I realized that it had been front-paged and had to republish to avoid feeling like a dick for having a dead link up there.

Here's hoping that I get the chance to fix it up sometime this week.

=> Hahha, yeah that might be true :p I'll make sure to replay the game once some fixing has been done! I should fix up some things with my own game as well... Which I will do sometime this coming month :3

Congratulations to the winners, really great games. Little bit sad my game wasn't even listed but I guess I'll just have to do better for the next jam :).

If you are curious, this was my entry.

I really liked some of the mechanics in Little Drop - for example I don't recall a game like this where you can slide off one side of the screen and come out on the other. I should have included it on my list!
