On that note, everything is going just swimmingly, however I'm afraid things may have fallen through on the animated thing. :( Not the animator's fault, but rather my own. It's been a hell of a month for me. Sorry guys. Maybe we can get a late one up after the scores are in? But I don't want to make you all wait again like last time.

More importantly - DO NOT ABANDON THE ANIMATION. It's something special and sexy to add to the VAC 11. For the folks that didn't enter, the end animation might pull in outside interest. I will offer some drawings if you're up for some collaby. Not sure if I'm eligible to do that, but I'd still volunteer to take on a hefty load. er....workload. Uh. Yeah.

I've been very preoccupied with school, but I had done about 3/4 of the judging before finals nonsense began. I'll get the rest done this weekend. I'd love for the animated awards to still happen if everything could still work just with more time...it makes the contest unique and the unveiling very special. But it's really up to the contestants to decide...some seem antsy.
It's a shame I didn't get the time to submit something...guess I'll keep my eyes open for the next one.

ALRIGHT GUYS AND GIRLS! The scores will be up very soon, but first I'd like to say a few things.
I apologize for being more distant than I have in past contests. Things have been kind of hectic in my personal life. This is also the reason why there's no animation. Completely my fault since FoxPirate was still up for doing it. Sorry again for not getting that done. Who know's? Maybe someone will step up and animate some of their favs?
As for the skits, Some general "if the shoe fits, where it" type of tips that I found to be somewhat common:
-Improv can help a script when added in here or there, but it shouldn't the entire skit.
-Don't be afraid to let loose! Let go of your inhibitions. I understand how awkward it feels to tell and scream and act like a fool, but it makes your acting better. Overacting is much easier to tone down than having to dial up something that flat lines.
-Noise removal is not always your friend. A lot of times, it distorts your audio so unless your background noise is THAT bad or you really know how to use the removal software well, it could be best to not use it.
-Watch your levels. Your voice should always be the loudest. Music and SFX are secondary, only to help paint the scene.
-Watch your mic usage. A lot of people were WAY too close to their mic which creates puffs/pops, audio clipping and weird breathy noises. 6 inches is a good distance in most cases.
General comments: This time, I continue to be impressed with the amount of talent shown by all of you. Every contest, new names pop up and blow me away with their skits. And once again, the contest has grown to the most entries so far. I love seeing this community grow. Speaking of community, this is also the most active and helpful I've seen contestants yet as far as reviewing, critiquing and giving advice. Makes me proud! And of course, there was also a record number of women who entered which is always exciting since the female representation is often lacking here on NG.
Lastly, I will be posting my scores and comments on each entry in the review sections along with the comments from the other judges. If you would like a breakdown of their scores, you will need to contact them to discuss it. Speaking of judges, one judge did not get their scores into me and therefore will not be included. Also, PLEASE respect all of the judges and their opinions. Your scores are not biased nor to be taken personal, trolling, flaming or any other kind of disrespect will get you banned from any future contests. (Note: You are of course welcome to discuss the scores with the judges, but keep your tits calm when doing it.) Keep in mind that the final score to determine the place of each entry is an average of all the judges' scoring. As for prizes, I will contact Tom for the tore credit and front page (which may take some time) and Kyle Hebert to let him know about the 1st place winner.
I think that's all I had to say. I will, of course, post anything else I think of after the scores. The thread generally stays pretty active for a bit so feel free to chat and discuss how you think things went, congratulate each other and any other random crap you have to post! Scores will be up soon! Any questions, feel free to PM me!
A couple more things: butsaay didn't give any comments, so that's why you won't be seeing anything from him in your reviews. Mine, ZipZipper's and FeliciaAngelle's comments will be included, however only my scores will be made public in those reviews. If you want to know more specifics as far as how the others scored you or anything like that, PM them. Also, it may take a little bit for all of the reviews to go up as it tends to be tedious.

Those sessions are only $75 if you have the scratch. It's definitely worth the money!

Wow! The cumulative results actually really surprised me. Great job everyone! I've actually got a couple of you guys' entries saved just so I can listen again for a laugh. Hoping some animator finds some of them hilarious enough to animate!
