It also probably helps to use anything except Microshit Internet Exploder.

nothing works for me.
exactly, yes.
im stuck with IE6.
can't you guys make your next update to make movies/games viewable for IE users?
i mean im a NG fan since 2001(as a lurker) and a member since 06, and i never encountered such a problem before... :(
what should do, download mozilla firefox/chrome/safari/other browsers?
or will you guys fix this bug that happens to IE users?
im quite worried by this, because many people will falsely blam and/or downvote movies and games, due to that glitch.
it may become a serious problem.
i deleted/emptied my cache again. still the same, nothing is viewable.
sorry for putting you to all this trouble tom, and thanks for answering to my post/problems.
thanks!

ie is dangerous to use for internet browsing as it's embedded deep in the operating system, any viruses you get thru it will be harder to remove. Also ie is easily the most exploitable browser for someone to get in ur comp... Firefox or chrome are much safer and better for browsing and are compatible with xp still... Ie nowadays is glitched and doesn't work anyways..

If you're stuck with ie6, how can you download another browser? IE6 is 12 years old (today is it's birthday ironically), and it was bad then, so it's beyond awful now. A lot of sites are removing ie6 compatibility since almost no one uses it, and it's just more work to please a very small minority.
It'd be the same if you didn't update your flash player since version 9. It's at 11.8 now with a lot of cool new features, and no one would develop games just for people who haven't updated since then. Just get chrome or firefox or at least upgrade your ie.
Cleared it. On the latest Firefox.
Didn't work. Made things worse, in fact. I went from some thing being visible, to nothing being visible.

umm you candownload firefox and chrome with ie6 im sure they keep their sites compatible with older versions of ie for just the reason that ppl can't update beyond it
Anyone else all of a sudden not able to see games or movies?
"You're a bit of a ghoul - aren't you?"---ZeroAsALimit.
Alas, I too suffer from being able to view movies. A couple of days ago, it worked after a cache clearing (as recommended), but tonight it does nothing. Even after repeated cache clearings (and exiting browser completely and clearing cache and restarting).
Quite the pickle this problem is becoming.
Another way is to hold Ctrl and W at the same time.
Cleaned cache (several times, ways and browsers) check
refreshing; check
I can only see and play movies and games running on flash
streaming movies on mp4 format, not so much.
I've already tried any suggestions from newgrounds staff and members and still nothing, this is becoming a very frustrating issue, please if somebody says to clean the cache and or refresh the page again I`m gonna ride on my tank and I'll hunt all of you down. So, please try to find a good definite solution, ok.
Same problem here. Tried learing the cache, and clearing and restarting the browser, and eating a frikin' tuna sandwich, but nothing helps. And I don't run any crappy Explorer, but good ol' Firefox. I hope someone is working on this, since as it is, I'm stuck with voting movies I've already seen.
For anyone whos cleared their cache and its still not worked, go onto a game of movies page and press Ctrl F5 and it should work.

Was hoping that this was going to work, but no. Still nothing.
It appears that I have identified the problem, it seems that the changes made by newgrounds very likely has caused that any add-blocking extension or software installed in the browsers (at least in the case of Firefox) to block any mp4 streaming video and I'm very sure that the cause is an ad-on video at the start (a comercial or something) of any streaming video (this don't happen with flash movies and games for now), if you don't believe me and any of you have firefox and a ad-blocking extension, try turning off the extension, clear the cache and refresh, then go to newgrounds and hit lets say the splinter cell: black list video by RicePirate (before I did that I couldn't play it) in the featured movies section in the main page of the portal, you will see how it starts to play normally (very likely with a previous added video commercial), I still trying to see if this works with others browsers, but I think that thats where the newgrounds staff must to check to resolve this problem, I hope this can help you guys.

You sir are quite correct! Once I disabled Ad-Block Plus on my Firefox and cleared the cache, the videos are viewable once again.

It seems to work too on OPERA!!!, read last post.

Yes! The Ad-Block was indeed what caused the problem. Thank you, now I can at least watch the movies.

Haha, if only I could! It's not mine.
I did the Shift + Ctrl + Delete thing and these things pop up that say, "Passwords", "Cookies", "Download history", "Formdata", "History", "Preserve Website Favorites data", "Temporary Internet Files", and "ActiveXFiltering and Tracking Protection Area". Which of these should I click on to delete? Should I delete all of them? So far, all of them are unmarked and it still doesn't work.
It's been a long time since this happened, I've tried all methods, I still can't view anything....
sorry to bump/to post in an OLD thread, but i have a new update.
from 27th of august, i could NOT view anything on NG.
i could not see movies, and i could not play games. it was a nightmare, and it was impossible to view anything on NG with my internet explorer browser.
so, for the last 3 months, i was using the firefox browser, which was great, and i didnt had any problems.
AND SUDDENLY, i tried to watch a movie in newgrounds yesterday, and by accident, i logged in with my internet explorer instead of the firefox.
and now, all the games, videos and flash movies, play perfectly, even on my old, OLD internet explorer.
go figure.
i guess you guys fixed the problem. good job tom, wade and all the admins/staff! congrats!
