Screaming goats are better than the Harlem Shake.

But one was a music video and another is some forced fake shit.

Because I don't know, what was the thing before Gangnam Style.
Sucks for them; I'm guessing that they were all comfortable enough in the mine to disregard safety procedures without really thinking about it, but posting it on the internet wasn't a smart move.
And regardless of how stupid it is, doing a Harlem Shake video is ridiculously fun and if you hate fun then you're just as dumb as the Harlem Shake :C

Do you even have friends? It is fun actually, just as long as the video never finds its way to the internet.
Hating fun makes you dumb?
Yes.
i'm all for improving moral in the work place, but i don't think a mine shaft is a great place to be shaking your body violently.

Seriously? So if someone likes something that you don't it makes them stupid?
BBS Mod, PM me if you have something to report.
In all fairness, there's no telling wtf is gonna happen when that music pops on.
Homosexual interspecies sex is okay but dancing is stupid.

When he's making those hard ass implications, I can say whatever the hell I want about his preferences
So just tell him you don't find it fun. You're fighting against the 'you hate fun' point (which is stupid because that's down to personal preference) instead of the 'this is fun' part, which is what you're actually disagreeing with.

I guess there is the odd person who hates to dance and laugh with their friends.

I assumed people liked to joke around with their friends. I've made worse assumptions. Maybe I should just go around calling people stupid for doing something that doesn't appeal to me.
Why did they get fired?
its like their employer(s) have aspergers or something
what if Gina Rinehardt is behind this
FUCK HER

There are two points being argued as if they're the same here:
The harlem shake isn't fun (according to some people)
and
Any fun at all isn't fun (or, Xenomit doesn't like fun)
They're linked because of a clever little jump made by Tremulos which said that "doing the harlem shake is fun, and if you don't like fun you're stupid"
This whole argument is piggybacking on the assumption that Xenomit doesn't like fun because he doesn't like the harlem shake. The point is that the harlem shake cannot be ultimately defined as either fun or not fun because that is down to personal preference. I don't know if Xenomit likes fun or not, he's too busy defending himself arguing to say anything useful.
I'm assuming he does like things that are fun and that the harlem shake isn't one of those things, although having said that I'd also wager that he's never even tried it and has some sort of superiority complex over people who don't care about looking stupid.
Also, yurgenburgen hit the nail on the head with the thing about the safety gear. If something had gone wrong and someone had died while harlem shaking there would be a different tune being sung.
this topic, lol

I'm calling people stupid for falling into yet another fad that's gonna be long gone in a few months
I don't think they fell into it because it was a fad, but because it was seen as more of a fun social event to partake in with friends. With a chance of getting many views. ;)

Right :3
And even so, I can still say that it's just another dumbass fad that I swear to god will disappear into thin air within a few months
So? Obviously its a fad, but that doesn't mean it's not fun.

If this fad wasn't fun, it wouldn't be this popular and have this many participants. Most fads have to have that gimmicky fun part to it, otherwise they wouldn't want to partake in it, which wouldn't result in it being a fad. To each their own though. :)

Everyone who has done a Harlem Shake video would probably agree that it's fun. Anyone who hasn't probably wouldn't.

Harlem Shake will never measure up to Gangnam Style. Gangnam Style had lyrics.
