Depends how far back it counts to be Nostaliga, as if Dreamcast era Skies of Arcadia, if PS1 era then Final Fantasy 8, if Amiga era then Simon the Sorcerer. If Snes then Star Wing.

Final Fantasy 8 for me too, Ocarina of Time is up there too.

Hide and seek.
But if we are talking video games, Hexen II and Doom bring fond memories.
I can still enjoy those today.

My personal favorite childhood game was Goldeneye, that old James Bond game. I remember playing that game when my hands wouldn't even fit the N64 controller properly. I vaguely recall never actually completing any objectives, and just running around shooting the enemies for fun.
I would often give a notion to the Donkey Kong Series done by Rare Ware.
Kirby's Dreamland 2
Pokemon Gold
Gex 2 was pretty good to
EarthWorm Jim 2 even though it was hard to get through that one level with the catapolted Sumo wrestlers

I actually just bought that one through GOG. So far it seems fun, just full of bizarre cutscenes and character stereotypes. Really different from all the other sims I've tried earlier.

Grand theft auto Vice City
Wario land 4
Games were certainly more expansive towards experimentation of ideas during 90s - to mid 2006
