NG shouldn't be trying to be Vimeo 2, otherwise that would defeat the point of this site in the first place. Besides, I'm not thrilled with the whole watch NG submissions on TV, or lame mobile devices.

I am amazed that someone actually took the time to create a SWF converter for all of us. That works. For free.
I had the Moyea converter before and it wasn't so reliable to me.
But you made one valid point. I wouldn't watch NG submissions on TV either.

WOW I've waited years for this!! I've been using video editors like Ulead where I have to add and sync the sound later on but this really looks amazing!! Thank you so much :D

Well, semi-true. I don't know how to FULLY use after effects. But I at least know some basics. Anyway...
Here is a video of what I mean.

Tell me, if I did something wrong.
I used the default settings of Swivel pretty much.
H.264 (MPEG-4 AVC)
AAC as Audio Codec

i think the biggest advantage of this converter is framerate. you won't have to watch the new madnesscombat in low quality, you don't have to screencap to send to youtube, and you need to sacrfice quality in the animations for functionality in the browser

I have to ask, if it hasn't been already, who thought of the name?

Nothing happens. I've noticed something though.
The converted mp4 file doesn't have the "speaker" icon. For comparison sake, I took the video that I just made and look here. There IS a speaker icon. I also tried a RAM-Preview and the 2013-03...86.mp4 does output sound.

Any ideas why? Seems pretty weird to me.

As I said before, I didn't change any settings and simply used the default values.

probably would help if you'd tell me more about the version of AE youre using, and whether or not its cracked would help too.

cause if the sound works when you play the movie, then it has nothing to do with swivel or its outputs.

Can't wait to see Stamper's Myce in HD video.

Glad to hear it works with Vcam, I hadn't bothered much with it, because it didn't transfer to video, and AE seemed like a pain. I enjoy the design, the preview window, the ratio-converter, and when you hit Cancel in mid-convert, it stops and lets you see how far you got, other programs would just junk it, or offer some bogus temp file.

A trail version of CS6.
Thanks for trying in helping me, btw.

Trust me, just about everyone that downloaded the Windows version will likely have received that message, myself included. It's perfectly safe. Windows does that for ALOT of safe software.

Thanks, to you and convey, the program is AWESOME!! even the opening screen is awesome! (and scary if you're on a different window)

Haha thanks, but I think Mike is the true hero in this case. Also, after converting my whole swf library with Swivel, I can safely say this is the greatest swf to video converter ever made!

Great program, had a few issues when I was using it at first, like sound not recording/crashes , but for what ever reason that issue hasn't popped up again for awhile. Only thing I haven't got to work is the built in cropping tool.

I'll have everyone know that I had no issues bringing the final .mp4 into After Effects CS6 with audio. I will let everyone know if something goes south.

Thank you for bringing this to us. I've just tried it with a flash I'm working on and am amazed how clear it looks compared to exporting it as an avi/mov via flash.

Please continue your good work!

Cheers.

The accumulated filth of all their programmers and designers will foam up about their waists and all the stock holders and CEOs will look up and shout "Ipods will never support Flash!"...and I'll whisper "no."

I'm not an animator.. what you art guys do is amazing. But I am a coder and just visit newgrounds for amusement (watch a vid, play a game while waiting for a compile to finish etc) . A simple evaluation of Swivel -- well it knocks my socks off. Dude I've done some work in this area and you've got some voodoo and mostly seriously hard work into this thing to do what it does.

Kudos!!

Well bugger me sideways.

This is astoundingly good. Fantastic piece of software, not only looks great but it's highly intuitive and easy to use.

I've been trying various crap ways of getting my stuff converted to video that didn't lag - I need search no more.

I will donate very shortly - as let's be fair, this is the holy grail !

Well done too all of those involved.

sweet (like me)

I haven't had the chance to use it yet (in work) however does it export 32bit video? (alpha)
Would love to see V2 with an image sequence exporter. Such as TGA, TIFF, PNG etc. 32Bit formats to those who want to integrate using flash exports and other packages.

:)
