Synth help! 2013-01-23 12:29:20

I'm looking to create a really powerful lead synth but I seem to be having trouble. I've been trying to get towards a synth like the one a 1:19 at this video

But my synths always end up being too soft and not, how do you say, loud, clear and electronic enough. Anybody who knows how to make synths or has experience in this kind of field, it would be appreciated if you left some advice/feedback. Merci. bt I use FL Studio 10

Not particularly no... Is there a particular VST you would recommend?

A lot of the "Strength" from that lead comes from the fact that it's playing chords.

What Envy said. A lot can come out of a simple synth sound if you use good chord structures.

You could probably make something like this with 3xosc.

Where as your question is pretty much answered by the two fella's above me ^; effects and how you use them can change how your synth sounds. I say take some time to learn about how to play chords correctly, compression, eq, and distortion and reverb and what not. Mess around with your DAW.

Here be dragons... No... Just kidding. That's a wall, I do believe.
