Best MP3 player that you have owned

For me personally I prefer the Creative Zen since its small and perfect to put in my pocket while I jog. I have a plastic case on it to protect it. It doesn't weigh much at all. It's easy for me to switch songs by pressing down on the right or left side of the button while I jog. I tried jogging with an Ipod Clasic in my pocket and that thing is ridiculously huge and it was hard to change songs when I wanted to listen to another song. I would have to whip it out of my pocket while I was jogging and find which button I had to press. The Zen is about the size of a credit card.

Why would I buy an mp3 player when I have a phone?

Phones are huge and not comfortable for joggers. If you don't jog than I guess a Phone is fine...

Zune. It's simple, straightforward, easy to sync, sturdy, and doesn't have any useless bells and whistles. And there's a really good metal case that I got for it that does a great job protecting it from fall damage. If I ever dropped an iPod touch, I'd be a lot more worried.

I suppose, but I wouldnt mind a phone if I was jogging and I would personally regard music players as a waste of money if you already had a phone. Especially since android supports flac.

I only use my phone when I really need it, and it doesn't play music or videos.

I don't own any new phones, I own a Samsung Jukebox that is broken so I can't even listen to music anymore on it. That used to be my mp3 player a long time ago when it wasn't broken. Phone still works, only the part that the headphone jack goes into broke.

My ZuneHD 8GB.

It has a few minor glitches where it freezes or has to restart, but they are seldom, and not really a big deal.

The only other..oddity about it is if you put music on it (you have to use their zune software, but it's not like apples bullshit.) Anyways, if you put 5 new songs on there, and you drag them from your desktop, and sync them up. Unplug it, and look for them.

You will find them where they should be. However, if you then organize those 5 files back into your music folder, the next time you plug in your zune, do stuff, and unplug it, those 5 files will poof. I don't know why but becuase you moved their location on the computer and did not re-sync them (even though it was already unplugged when you moved those files) the zune auto deletes them or something. It is strange and annoying.

My first and still only mp3 player is a Trekstor i.beat emo. Despite the unfortunate name, it gets the job done, and holds a decent amount of songs. It sucks at organization though. Still, not bad for a hand-me-down from a friend, even if the screen is cracked.
Yay for being poor.

Mine is the Rio carbon :- This.

It may be old but it holds a shit load of music and has good volume unlike my phone were everything needs whacking to the max.

It is my husbands really but i use it more than often. Only downfall is that battery needs a good 24hour charge initally if it runs out, or itll drain quickly.

Why won't you die?

My PSP. All I needed to do was drop my mp3s into the Music folder. No syncing, no music stores, no bullshit.

If you had a 200 gig Zune like I have, you probably wouldn't need two separate devices.

I jog miles a day and have no problem holding a phone, lol. It actually makes it much more convenient since it is in your hand and you can skip a song or check the progress of your run if you are using a running app, so personally I actually find it advantageous to use a phone when I'm running.

I once had a potato hooked up to speakers and that was able to play music just fine. But it was only able to play music from like Japan or Korea. And that is how I realized that I like Japanese music.

My phone, an LG Optimus 4X HD. Yes, it's a phone, but it does play mp3s. And many other formats as well.

I have a Nano. It does the job. Apparently they have multi-touch screens now, but I don't even use the touch screen on mine. I just use the physical buttons like it were a Shuffle. 99% of the time I use it is for my lifting playlist, so I kinda regret not just getting a Shuffle.
