Gingerbread House Making

So I purchased this gingerbread house kit, and different kinds of candy. Gonna do er' up with Greg monday.
My first idea is to make a gingerbread crackhouse, because I saw a picture of one floating around on tumblr, but I'm definitely open to a regular one.
I have a lot more candy in those bags than it looks like in the picture fyi.

What's the most awesome/epic/disaster of a gingerbread house you've made?

I could use some more creative ideas!

AND, how much did you spend on it?
I spent about 12 bucks on the extra candy and icing, and the actual kit was like 10.99

I haven't made one of these since grade school!

I remember it being fucking epic though, or it was delicious at the very least.

Me and the youth group made a gingerbread house last year. It stood for 2 minutes and collapsed. So they just ate it and crushed it. One of the kids said it was a gingerbread house from the projects.

I once made a Gingerbread house completley on my own! I didn't have help from anyone. That was the only gingerbread house I ever worked on, or at least the only one I made entirely on my own, and it's easily the best experience I've had with holiday candy. And yes, we all got to eat it.
