Man, technology is going by so quickly that it scares me! It's putting a lot of people out of jobs.
Meh. Just wait until 8K becomes the norm. Then, the 4K OLED TV's will be cheap. Same thing happened to HDTV when 3DTV came out.
Things always get cheaper when the next "big" thing is released. I'd give it two maybe three years.
