I recently heard the song over a while ago but I cannot help to think about what the song really is about. I'm really confused, but I know the guy in the video is having a sex-change.

Trans people have a high suicide rate. It is really hard to be different in society today even with the advancements that have been made. Within the last 10 or so it has been more commonplace to hear about gay people or have out gay friends. Trans people not so much.
