But the upside is that the higher-ups would be well aware that they need to revise their site.

Much like how politicians react to complaints or revolutions.

The problem is that the internet as a whole is being much more centralized. Popularity, and the revenue, lies in the more known websites that do everything that NG did +more.

Newgrounds has just had a little decline, but it should be able to rise again if the NG staff and contributors do it right.

Does anyone know how Facebook became that big and popular? I'm convinced their strategy was used deliberately and it was very professional. Quote from Wikipedia:

Let me just say that I actually, currently, dislike Facebook but their marketing strategy was ingenious.

Yeah Newgrounds is dead, it's been dead for ages. I signed up in 2009 back when it was thriving, it was really cool back then but now... R.I.P. Newgrounds, I'll always remember how you were not as you are.

The whole point of the redesign was to try and inject some life back into the site, the Newgrounds staff know that the site isn't doing well and most of the old userbase knows this too and to tell you the truth it's not really a secret (The Supporter badges in the store and most of the site's big contributors moving onto sites like Youtube) and it failed. Now there's not as much interesting content being uploaded to the portal and what's left of the userbase is nothing but adolescent My Little Pony fans and furries.

This is what Tom gets for trying to run Newgrounds like a hobby all this time. It's not right for the nature of the site, Some of the staff here have based their careers on Newgrounds and now site like Armor Games and such are leaving Newgrounds behind in the dust. As a site, it might not be dead now, but right now it's going through chemo. Whether it lives or not, only time will tell.

and ask what modifications would make new grounds a more attractive place to upload their stuff
and what they are getting from other sites they are not
an additional survey(s) for viewers
old users why they stayed
new users why they came

and what everyone would want on the site
