I would have tried entering that Newgrounds Audio Deathmatch thing, but I would have lost in the first round haha.

Mr. Fulp, you might be unaware of the devastation to British crops due to the torrential rain we've been having.

As such, pumpkins are either in short supply oR HAVE GONE UP IN PRICE?! How do you expect us to compete when we CAN'T BUY ANY PUMPKINS?

Sure, there's that Carve 'n' share game, but it's looked down upon by the elite of the real pumpkin carvers!

Extremely disappointed that Waterflame didn't win the deathmatch, Wanderer was epic. Although Venus was a good listen too. Can't wait to see the pumpkins!

Yeah, that song definitely had more charm than the winner in my opinion

In terms of pure acoustics, both top submissions sounded very 'blocky' due to their overly polished production and Newgrounds' compression algorithm, but at least Wanderer has the decency to pop out a little more at the edges and vary its percussive elements.. A distinguishing trait that the LOUDLY compressed progressive rock song couldn't flaunt so much. Uniqueness trumps a more emotive experience, I guess.

Also, capitalizing 'my' in your song's short description makes you look like a douchecanoe. Just saying, Waterflame.

That's still on my mind, it's why I haven't started a new one this year yet. It really takes a long time to do that Treasure Hunt roundup and it has been hard to prioritize this past year.

Just want to note that we don't compress the audio submissions and allow CD-quality uploads.

There's no 'trumping' going on, or an agenda of any sort. Each judge just sent in their scores individually and it ended up very close
