Congrats. It just goes to show that every now and then, good can come from computer programs malfunctioning.

That's okay, I like it when people reference my name.

I've definitely spent more time eating sandwiches than working on this though. It doesn't help that I spend my spare time chillaxing instead of doing something productive.

If VieRickend can pull off an awesome animation in a week, then so can I.

Prior to the tournament beginning, you mentioned a possibility of part of the bracket being switched to groups of four as opposed to the usual head-to-head. Is there any chance of this still happening? 'Cause I would definitely support it.

That sounds interesting. How would it work?

It would be nice if you enter at least what you had completed so far.

It's too late to implement this now, but it's entirely possible for next year's tournament.

I'm officially half-way done!

uh oh

To be honest, I thought making a 77 second animation would be quite a bit faster than this.

alright, just gotta animate it now. 9 days left. right.

i don't know why, but my ARM IS SHAKING

I hit that a lot too. Every time I think a shot is going to be easy it turns out that there's something trickier involved that takes me a bit longer to do :I

So sorry for the delay in posting stuff, I was hoping to get at least one article written per week but work's got me busy :<

(that being said, I'm editing the next post, it ought to go up within the next hour!)

Also, did anyone have any topics they wanted for some UNWARRANTED FEEDBACK? If I don't know enough about a subject I usually have an idea of where to look

Upcoming topics:
-Charm in motion
-Why drawing anime is bad

I saw some comments a couple pages ago talking about shaking arms-- please take some time to do these stretches if your hands and wrists are cramping up!

Again, any requests on topics are more than welcome!

I love the thread on this tournament. It's also hard posting up work since we want to try and keep some sort of element of surprise.

Whats awful is that these past weekends and the one coming up I am away so I lose a chunk of time. Hopefully I can get the key animation done and work around secondary scenes.

20 seconds left for me to animate before all the scenes are done! The end is in sight! Now if only my computer science project would debug itself so I can get back to animating...

Thanks, Thor! These are great, I'm sure everyone appreciates them.

Again, any requests on topics are more than welcome!

One that comes to mind is making characters with 'character'; I know sometimes people become so concerned with the animation aspect of their projects (not even in this tournament, but in general) that they don't spend enough time coming up with intriguing or interesting-looking characters with personality, that can really captivate the viewer. Maybe you could write something that could help people in their creative process?

Actually, as far as requests go, I'd really love to know if there's any advice you could give about making a short feel longer. I remember getting a bunch of reviews on my last video or two commenting that the movies were way too short. The thing is, most of my movies are about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes long, about average for a flash submission.
