I know it's impossible to delete accounts, so here's the deal. I don't have any kind of problem with Newgrounds, I just want to change my screen name. Out of all the sites I've used (BandCamp, ReverbNation, Myspace, Facebook, etc.) Newgrounds is by far the best place to host my music. I've gotten maybe a hundred hits combined with all those other sites. So if a mod or admin could either help me do that, or delete this account so I can make a new one to replace it, that'd be fantastic. I definitely don't want to leave Newgrounds, I just want to change my name without having to use a different e-mail address.
I'm absolutely baffled that a site like this makes it so hard (read: literally impossible) to make simple changes to your account by yourself. I'm pretty sure crappy sites like NeoPets and Gaia Online have you beat there, guys. And that's just sad. I read somewhere that it's supposed to prevent hackers from deleting other people's accounts or something, but that doesn't make any sense. It's like removing your brake lines to prevent a carjacker. Except that isn't right. It's so nonsensical, I can't even come up with an analogy for it.
Regardless, I don't think this is too big of a request. Failing that, I don't see why it has to be such a big request. I don't think I've ever seen a site that flat out refuses to let you leave, even when you plan to come back again a few minutes later. We're members, not hostages.
