I love the lines in this, no big fan of the coloring/shading.
1- if you're going to do out of the lines coloring, use a hard brush, with a soft brush it just looks messy.
2- don't shade with black, instead pic a darker shade of the same color. Shading with black gives murky colors, especially on light areas such as the hair.

I'm very new to digital colouring so i'm still getting the hang of it.

I get that. I only started coloring stuff a few months ago. Took me a while to get the "right" colors and stuff.

One, his drawings are not bad and his line is not bad. His drawing style reminds me a little cartoon (not to regard this as a bad thing). They are very good.

I don't think that the writing works and more time could have been spent on the shading but other then that it is a good piece. Just keep practicing.

agreed, i think its awesome. The mixture of the cartoon character, + anime character = giggity.
