I remember the days of trying to manipulate the popularity stat to keep sherbert in the top 10.

RIP Sherbert. I was just viewing his page in the FAQ section some weeks back. (Why is it that NG members and/or animals are suddenly dropping like flies?)

Sorry to hear it Tom, cat's can sense when there time is near, they usually what to be alone when the time comes, but it would appear that Sherbert held out so he/she could see you one more time, or maybe Sherbert just wanted to say good bye. To compassionate people the animals they keep become much more than "just pets".

Many pet's I owned left when they died and we used to find them in the most hard to find places when they are brought up around kids they leave because they do not want to cause heartbreak for the family nearly all my dogs and cats have done it and I loved them all and they always tried to come to school or work with me good times :(

Sherbert had a genetic heart problem and a blood clot so he already lasted years longer than expected but it's still a shock to see him go. RIP Sherbert. :(

Tom I don't want to sound a dick but I was thinking of suggesting a change of wallpaper for all those who tragically died this year you know like when we had the closure layout thing but you know in tribute I don't know how it would be planned but a person who died is remembered for movies (e.g. randy and edd) they get that section as a tribute and I was going to say give sherbert the bbs background seeing as he was a topic a lot there and well anyone else I have forgotten it's just an idea to remember the people who made us what we are as a website it's just an idea and I thought you might want to know?

Well, that's a real downer. I have a soft spot for kittens.
Looks like Sherbert's in kitty heaven now.

It's tough losing a pet, especially after having one for so long. Insane how much this cat has been through too. I've gone through at least 2 heart breaking cat deaths (14yrs and 19yrs), so I can only imagine how this felt for you Tom. RIP Sherbert.

TOM, YOU POOR THING..! </3
My condolences, man... Poor lil' fella... Maybe it's the horemones talking, but I'm almost tearing up just thinking about it. Losing a little member of the family from 12 years back is always hard. If feels like a little chunk is missing from the household for the longest time. I've been there.
At least his last living moment was spent with you.... 3:> *BAWLS EYES OUT*

I'm sorry for you're loss Tom, my dog Chewy passed away right next to me in the car on August 23rd last year so I know what it's like to lose someone like Sherbert, keep you're chin up man and never forget the good times you had with him.
Rest in Peace Sherbert.
