I vote Nay, the shading defines things rather nicely. My only problem is the hair, it seems like it was plastered over her head instead of flowing with the form of the skull.

Your art is very decent. Although you need to address on how you render/color things. There's really nothing wrong with it, it's just it's quite boring to look at. Try to use tones and whatnot. I can also see some discrepancies regarding your light source. But that's alright you'll improve with practice.

yeah I think its because I'm more accustomed to just 1 type of mech rather than other types like the westernized Mech warrior style or the more realistic Armoured Core variety, I guess its a situation of: telling the same joke over and over and expecting a different result.
I did the thing I wanted to do, its not amazing but its mediocre enough for me to be satisfied with it.

The following is out of form for me, I thought about being more dirty with its initial appearance and tried to present it a little more than my previous offerings, most of it follows a more careless approach to painting/drawing and is A-symmetrical, its a fine design to pass the time but doesn't really stand up on its own.
The idea for the appearance of helm can simply summarized as "bucket head" as the whole top is mainly a cylinder

I need some assistance, Is this taller and thinner or shorter and wider? Both my monitors are telling different stories on one it seems to be well placed and well proportioned on my VGA however on the HD monitor its wider and shorter. so witch monitor is telling fibs and needs to be calibrated.
