Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith is my favorite, but you should watch 1 and 2 so you would get more of the story.

The best way is to watch the original theatrical versions of episode IV, V, and VI that are on the limited edition DVDs and then watch episodes I, II and III on whatever format you want.

You poor, poor soul.

Also, I'd care more if it were the original trilogy. I still liked the new movies, though. They did of course have their flaws (Anakin's actor) but they weren't that bad.

Yeah, fuck those edited versions. I still have VHS tapes of the trilogy that were made before that even happened.

I'm pretty sure they'll be releasing the films in chronological order one year at a time. So get ready to care in three years.

sweetness. I hope the 3D actually works well. I heard that movies that weren't actually filmed in 3D don't look right in 3D. I wouldn't know because the only 3D movie I saw in theaters was Jackass 3D, which worked quite well and actually made some things funnier.

3D is one of those things that can either work really well, or be a colossal disaster. There's nothing in between.

I'm sure they'll put some decent effort into it. I'm really hoping for them to completely redo the podracer and space battle scenes specifically for the 3D, that would be brilliant.

The original trilogy, any of them. But A New Hope is my favourite.

I saw the re-releases of the original trillogy for the first time in the theaters when I was a little kid, so I was all excited about the Phantom Menace when it first came out. I've never been more disappointed in a movie. I was like ten years old and I could still tell it was a pile of shit. Subsequent viewings have done nothing to change that opinion. I advise you all to avoid the prequals, in any format.

Episodes 1, 2, and 3 are pretty awful for the storyline in 4, 5, and 6.

What's worse; first episode 1 will be released, then 2, then 3, and then finally 4, 5, and 6 will be released in 3D.

Seriously, release all the crappy episodes first? Why are people so foolish nowadays?

Are you seriously asking that question? Of course they'd release the prequels first. It makes perfect sense to release them in chronological order.

Response to StarWars 3D 2012-01-29 22:52:20

The hate for the prequels seems to be a bit unfair even when Epiosde 3 is one of the better Star Wars movies. My list for my favorites are 5, 4, 3, 6, 2, 1.

Well we were dumb enough to think it was gonna happen.

Well if you want to watch it how people did when it didn't have a bunch of changes, VHS.

If your looking for quality then blueray is your obvious choice.

I don't hate all the prequels, just the Phantom Menace. The other two were just forgettable.

All of the VHS releases still had changes, the true original version was not released until the Limited Edition DVDs in 2006.

Here's another question. Are there going to be even more edits to the movies?

- In IV, V, and VI, Jar Jar Binks gets a more prominent role in each.
- All puppet characters replaced with CGI characters. V and VI Yoda, VI Jabba, that thing that looks like an elephant but is not an elephant, etc.
- When Vader cuts off Luke's hand, he says "YEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS!"

Any other rapes you can think of?

Are we all Made in China?

You always, ALWAYS start with the original trilogy. The prequel contains massive spoilers and you will hate yourself for watching it first.

Despite the fact that I enjoyed the film as a kid, I got no interest in seeing it in 3D. I got no recommendations for how you watch it, though I'm not discouraging you from watching it. It's made a lot of fuss among viewers that can probably make anyone who hasn't yet seen it interested in seeing it.

It's not a remake; it's a conversion of the 1997 film. Whether it's strictly a cash in, I don't know. It is coming out the same month of the ship's voyage a hundred years ago.

I've liked the idea of IV the most, but I guess I is my fave.
