What I don't get is that the front page is a blackout but how come we can access any other part of the site? Wiki for example doesnt let you onto any english pages but NG seems to be just front page blackout. Not wanting to start something, just noticed and was curious why this is

The hardcore users will figure out they can still use the site. Our bandwidth usage is way down which shows many people aren't getting past the blackout page.

BTW, you can bypass the Wiki blackout too. You just have to fiddle with the ESC key when loading a page.
