There was one in Lewes, next to my aunt and uncle's neighborhood. The funnel cloud formed directly above their house and touched down in the next neighborhood. It completely demolished one home and wrecked 14 others.

In some places it was pretty windy, it was windy enough to tear the roofs off a few houses and knock down plenty of trees.
What a pussy of a storm. There weren't 11 deaths and monetary losses to the Caribbean being as high as $3.1 billion or anything.
lol no big deal. absolutely nothing happened. onemorelink
Of course you weren't affected so it was just hilarious, but some people weren't so lucky.
HOLY DOUBLE POST, BATMAN!
Video of the flooding in a small section downtown.
So apparently Irene has weakened to a tropical storm already. Thank God nothing too devastating happened :)

Wouldn't that be a good thing considering it has cause plenty of property damage and even a few deaths?
Why is it that people freak out when a huge hurricane comes but then it does some damage but nothing much

true that
That was incredibly over hyped.
At least over here it was.
I love how everyone's like "OMG it was so overhyped lol wtf were they thinking" although if it had actually been bad, everyone would be like "OMG WHY WERE THERE NO WARNINGSSSSSSSSSS"
Oh humans. We're funny.
For me, nothing happened, not even a single tree fell over. No flooding either, I just had like 2 power surges that lasted for like a second.
Ecchi first, ask questions never.
Overhyped
The problem with hurricanes is that they are insanely unpredictable. Luckily, Irene turned out to be a pussy, but when a giant storm is barreling in from the sea, there's no way to tell if it's going to be a gentle giant or meteorological godzilla.
Freaking out about it is their way of being safe before sorry.
That was disappointing. New York is finally getting some action and it does very little.
Damn it God I thought you hated us. But you loved us too much and held back.
And I was worried for nothing,
I live 1 avenue above Riverside, so the river is almost literally RIGHT behind me.
The guy below me is gay
me and one of my teachers were talking bout this hurricanes spin counter clock wise so since its going up the east coast its just going to throw water and make it rain a lot so only major damage going to be cause is flooding also its not in the same category as it was when it was near florida its went down two
Yesterday I didnt have any power for almost a day. Talk about being bored as hell I almost went insane.
I also tried to take some pictures but this is the closest I can get to a good one
