I just saw on the news that Delaware has reported tornadoes as well.

There was one in Lewes, next to my aunt and uncle's neighborhood. The funnel cloud formed directly above their house and touched down in the next neighborhood. It completely demolished one home and wrecked 14 others.

In some places it was pretty windy, it was windy enough to tear the roofs off a few houses and knock down plenty of trees.

We lost power here for many hours, but nothing big.

What a pussy of a storm. There weren't 11 deaths and monetary losses to the Caribbean being as high as $3.1 billion or anything.

For me, nothing happened, not even a single tree fell over. No flooding either, I just had like 2 power surges that lasted for like a second.

Holy! Toronto is just outside the storm! Hopefully the power doesn't go out...

Overhyped

The problem with hurricanes is that they are insanely unpredictable. Luckily, Irene turned out to be a pussy, but when a giant storm is barreling in from the sea, there's no way to tell if it's going to be a gentle giant or meteorological godzilla.

Freaking out about it is their way of being safe before sorry.

That was disappointing. New York is finally getting some action and it does very little.

I live 1 avenue above Riverside, so the river is almost literally RIGHT behind me.

There was some pretty bad flooding in Vermont.

me and one of my teachers were talking bout this hurricanes spin counter clock wise so since its going up the east coast its just going to throw water and make it rain a lot so only major damage going to be cause is flooding also its not in the same category as it was when it was near florida its went down two
