CharltonChinchilla, I'm worried about the same thing. You know the Bartram statue outside the Valley? I was involved with the unveiling and the centenary, I'd literally be bawling if anything happened to it.

There all idiots the rioters, trying not to be racist but look at it, its like 90% black people not that it makes much of a difference but come on...
We need to give the police more force, in riot situation, critical situation etc lethal force should be allowed but closely moderated.

Apparently it's hit Liverpool already. However, I only heard from one guy about any incidents over there tonight. I'm not sure if I'll be able to sleep tonight.
If it doesn't hit Manchester, does that mean we're the capital now?

They're calling off all the footy matches off tomorrow as they can't afford to stretch the police they have to deal with these cunts. This is a sensible decision the safety of the city obviously comes first but I probably wont get a refund and I practically had to be for time off work to go to it, it's just adding insult after injury.

They better get it sorted before Saturday when the Prem starts.

David Cameron: "I am granting the Metropolitan Police emergency powers to use water cannons, rubber bullets and tear gas to take back control of our streets from these parasites biting the hand that feeds them. Carlsberg doesn't do Prime Ministers, but if they did...

They're in Woolwich that's practically next to Charlton. Right they touch the valley OR my pub I'm off to London with a cricket bat and dishing out some sweet justice.. Not really I wish I could conjure the balls to though.

So would you say that rioting over soccer games is a step up or step down, what about food riots? I really am not looking forward to the food riots. Nothings worse than rioting on an empty stomach.
eh all the kids are gonna get tired and go to bed soon
If you think this is cool and fun to join in, you're an idiot.
Don't join in. If you have already, put a stop to it.
For once a third-world country is considered better than our first-world country. Their riots had meaning. Ours is about thieft. We've lost on the grounds of humanity.

Wow it's looking really bad. I'm surprised this doesn't happen in the US as often. I have a feeling one will happen because of the unarmed homeless man beaten and tasered to death in Orange County last month, but other incidents may spark some sort of riot.

Think you're overreacting a bit there mate.

And which third-world country is that? Mexico? Ethiopia? The Philippines? Malaysia?

Purely on humanity. What they have is a needed revolution in their eyes. Any perchance of revolution in the rioters eyes is a thinly veiled opportunity to fuck with the system and get away with crimes.

A woman jumps from a burning building in Surrey Street whilst firefighters and passers by try to catch her

Maybe it came out wrong, but my sentiments are somewhere in that garbled collection of sentences.

This is crazy. All because of one shooting. The guy was a drug dealer, and was armed. He shot at police officers and they returned fire and killed him. True, he was a father of 4, but an armed drug dealer none-the-less.

Notice the "Carlsberg don't do Prime ministers?" Yeah it was a joke.

I wouldn't be so sure.
I've heard he was unarmed and surrendering, and the bullet lodged in the officers radio was friendly fire.
This is seriously upsetting, I actually thought London was better than this, but now even other towns are starting to do it as well.
It's at times like these where examples should be allowed to be made, execute a few of them and allow the use of force, as much as I am against these things, these so called "riots" deserve no better treatment. Destroying others lives for their own greed is pathetic.
I am glad that the London Meetup ended well have to say, would have hated for anything to happen to those who went if I wasn't able to be there to try and help you out.

You honestly think that would stop shit? The whole reason riots are so scary are because of the whole swarm mentality. You're not an individual in a riot, you're one of a big uncontrollable group, an individual can't get hurt.
Shooting people would only intensify the rioters and give them a reason to continue.
