In case any of you haven't noticed this isn't a revolution it's a race riot. It's really disgusting and sad when we live in the 21st century, and we are still battling each other over the color of our skin.

Those who want to say these riots are because of racial tension need to look at the facts.In many ways the minorities have protected their communities.You have Asian communities like the Turks and Kurdish people standing up to these rioters and many have thanked them for basically protecting areas otherwise victimized by the looters.

I should say that in the Birmingham area, the sikh & muslim community are doing an A+ job of cleanup and patrolling the damage. an independant sikh TV.

Birmingham is full of riot vans and officers everywhere. Reports are coming out very slowly tonight. Not sure whether to believe it's emptying out or we're just not getting info.

Also, it just seems like the current youth in the UK are really prone to rioting - this is the second time in recent memory where riots have broken out across the pond: First for the raised tuition costs, now for police action.

That's extremely unfortunate.I was hoping you all would get out of this relatively easy but when casualties start mounting I fear this will create subsequent waves of furious rioting. I'm hoping this doesn't get out of hand.

Today is not as bad. London seems to be quiet due to the high police presence (From 6,000 officers last night to 16,000 tonight) but other citys are becoming violent tonight. A man was beaten and ran over after trying to stop rioters. Some communities are coming together and protecting their area though such as Turkish and Kurdish shop owners outside their shops with Baseball Bats and Crowbars

Major News Channels such as BBC and Sky have been doing a terrible job. Their "breaking" news has been in some cases HOURS behind the initial incident happened and taking footage from freelance photographers as well as independent news circuits.
