trivi/tryggur: Great work with the highlights on this one, it helps give the skin a nice sheen and depth. Also, Im loving the word bubble, not sure what it says inside but that makes the image seem more eclectic. One thing I would like to see is if you could bring those shadows you used to detail the face into the hair. Right now the hair seems crazy flat against the head cause its not casting shadows, but at the same time it clearly is sticking out at the edges. Other then that this is a good image. - Accepted
LegolaSS: Im very happy to see the amount of attention you payed to the shape and lighting of the face giving the image really great depth even tho it lacks blacks or whites. What bothers me tho is the rushed treatment of the edges of the drawing where you blend into the paper. If the image is bursting though more lifelike torn edges would help with that, or conversely if the image is on top of the paper, I would recommend making the edges more abstracted to show more of a painterly quality like what you have going on in the face. I mentioned earlier the lack of blacks and whites, which isn't a problem in itself, but the image does lack a little in contrast due to that. Try taking a look at the image by thies down bellow. It is a bit more to the extreme of contrast, but a very good example of the level of clarity high contrast can bring. Anatomy wise, this image is pretty good, a little skewed towards the right eye and nose area, but she is in an extreme facial expression which can definitely skew the face. Great work - Accepted
thies: When JKA wrote about making sure the image is blended into the paper as one of the goals for the images of this collab I believe you took that and hit it square on the head. This images undoubtable looks as if you broke out the inks and drew that on the original piece of paper before it was scanned in. The shading is very high quality, and the quality handling of the line-work leads me to believe you have some comic book inspirations. One thing, from an anatomy point of view, the eyes are a bit big, I think if you shrank them down just a tiny amount you would see a much more lifelike face staring back at you. Also the Neck opens up wide a little early for a woman, its not impossible, but usually a high neck like that is found on one of those super injected body builder type women. Try pulling it in a little for a more feminine look or bring the curve down so that those strong neck muscles are resting closer to a more natural neck line for a more macho tomboy look. Other then that, Awesome Job, that is some kicken contrast. - Accepted
