There's only so much lurking one can do before deciding to start an art thread.
I thought I might start with a finished piece.

I colored my drawing of Lux's character that I posted awhile back. It's kind of a mess.
Helluva way to start an Art thread, mate. Wish I was that good when I started. Great little style you've already got yourself there, too - very colourful.
As for the second picture, that is a damn fine mess, but that's really only because you did your cross-hatching in one very, very dark colour and did it a lot. Wouldn't take it as a sign to shy away from cross-hatching, though - its one of the easiest ways to shade detail fast (though there are always alternatives).
All the same, good luck.

I definitely overdid it. Thanks for the encouragement.
This was my attempt at drawing a character relatively fast in different poses.
Slick stuff and welcome! Love the clean lines, kinda a dark feel to your work in my opinion. Like Jhonen Vasquez or maybe Burton or something. Anyhow, thanks for joining in! Look forward to seeing even more awesome stuff. ^_^
I like your arts a lot! The style has kind of a gothic feeling to it, and I love it!
Thanks guys. Burton, Vasquez, Roman Dirge, and Lawrence Yang are some of my favorites. ^ ^
I like your arts too, Merol!
More art.

Somehow I managed to overlook this. Thanks for pointing it out; fixed it just for you.
I really enjoyed looking at your pieces. There's definitely a signature style... I love it. Keep it up! =)
Your style has that dark touch to it, your style and art = awesome! I look foward to seeing more.
Art is vast as Love is deep, Trying to Explain the two is like trying to discover everything there is about the ocean.

Really love those! your style is very consistent. But what's wrong with the first girl's nose?

That sucks, it was looking pretty good so far.

I don't know. I don't have a good eye for these things. Can you be more specific?

I may go back and finish it at some point. Who knows.

Another face, but this one is a robot. Sorry for the same boring pose. :X

This part of the nose, it just looks strange to me.

I really love that one! Looks like a screenshot from an awesome game.
I also love the lines and color choices in all your stuff!

Thanks. It's unfortunate that the drive that image was on died, so I no longer have the source file. I had planned on finishing it.
