Posting this again so people can see it and act upon it as necessary, if not done so already.
Hopefully GruntWorthy label will post here again with updates on Cetacea being sacked.

At 3/5/11 09:42 PM, GruntWorthy wrote: Dear NewGrounds Members,
First off let say NO TRACKS WILL BE RELEASED FROM CETACEA UNTILL THIS MATTER HAS BEEN FULLY RESOLVED!

GRUNTWORTHY DOES NOT SUPPORT ARTISTS WHO STEAL WORKS FROM OTHER ARTISTS!

At this point, what we need from the NewGrounds members that feel their works have stolen, is to send us a list of the tracks you believe are stolen. Please include details of when the tracks were created, legal names of the producer(s) who created them, the methods used to make the tracks (ablton, logic, korg electribe, etc) and if possible screenshot of the project.

Please include your contact information (email, phone number etc).

Send the completed lists to label (at) GruntWorthy (dot) com

WE ARE TAKING THIS VERY SERIOUSLY!!
We would also ask you not post about this on any public GruntWorthy profiles as we are investigating ALL of these claims.
Thank you,
GruntWorthy

And FYI, Gruntworthy is the label that signed Cetacea.

hey guys this may not mean anything but there was 64 songs up a little while ago and now there is 63, this means she has definitely seen what we have been posting. This is just a useless update though

This reminds me of the time I caught DjXtreme stealing xKore's music. Never thought someone would be so naive as to steal this many people's music. I have always fought for justice on this front, and now that I'm a victim, she will be brought down.

I just want to quote on some SUCCESS: Iron God has been removed from her list. I just straight-up balls-to-the-wall attacked the shit out of her. Do this, and she will be reduced to nothing.

It brings me joy to know that he/she is probably Flipping out right now, knowing that she got caught.

Heres to justice my friends.

Ok, I went through every single song that has been sourced so far and ensured that there is now a direct link to the song in question in the comments for those songs. This will help give legitimacy to 2dpolygon's comment spam (which he really shouldn't have done).

I did but I didn't understand. (I'm kinda dumb ^^')

One of the most basic rules on every forum.

I'm sorry but you spammed the songs (even though xKore and other affected artists asked people not to), posted a topic on soundcloud, but didn't understand that key point?

A quote from a comment on "I Want Dat Meatball" ("I Want Dat" by JPhelpz):
"Ephyks Start following about 16 hours ago
Are you fucking kidding me? FUCKING CUNT. STEAL MORE MUSIC PIECE OF SHIT. I WILL NOT STOP UNTIL YOU ARE FUCKED OVER. I SHIT YOU NOT"

I know that your comments were tamer 2dpolygon, and I understand the anger, and how viscerally satisfying this can be, but if this becomes legal, comments like this may do more to hurt than to help.

This is very true, please try to keep your anger to yourselves guys, no matter how angry you are. Also, I noticed that someone has been commenting on all her tracks something along the lines of "This was stolen from www.newgrounds.com/audio" etc, and this is a good start but it might be more credible if you include the links to the original songs, or to the original artists profile on NG or SoundCloud. Doesn't really matter now cause all her songs have been reported, but still.

No, I think angry comments are good. It gets people stirred up. People get scared by angry comments...especially lots of them from different people.

Also, it would help to mention the SUBMISSION DATE of a song when you report it; this way, you can empirically verify that the song was created BEFORE she submitted it.

The "artist" in question has been cut from the label (Gruntworthy) that signed her, we're still awaiting feedback from SoundCloud. Not sure how many of her claims about getting sponsored by Beatport are actually true, but it will definitely need to be monitored.

Yeah, I'm not sure that she necessarily has noticed yet, it seems more like the song was removed by the admins rather than her. Otherwise she probably would have gotten rid of more than just one.

Actually, I think it's more likely that it was just removed by her. All her songs have been flagged as copyright infringement, so if the admins had noticed all of them then im sure the account would have been terminated or something along those lines.

I noticed a few pages back that someone mentioned they thought all her pics were of another artist. I'm seriously doubting this is even a chick anymore.

True. Any word back from SoundCloud? Seems like they would reply to you first if you had reported the songs, seeing as how the majority are yours.

You don't get "sponsored" by beatport. You get your music on to beatport by being with a label that has an affiliation with them. If you aren't with a legitimate label, it is literally impossible for you to get your music on to beatport. So there's no need to stress out about that ;D

Quoted from the SoundCloud profile: "...Cetacea (see-tay-shu)".

It also appears that someone else is also doing the "2DP thing" on her FaceBook, yet a bit more colorful.

There is absolutely no need for this... We have not proceeded with signing ANYTHING with Cetacea, and frankly we're interested in signing tracks from the artists WHO ACTUALLY MADE THEM. THAT MEANS SOME OF YOU! She directly contacted us and expressed interest in working with our label, she sent us material to listen to and some of it is REALY good, so yes, we were interested in signing it. If the original artists of these tracks had sent them to us themselves, we would be signing material for release. However, we are not interested in working with people who will cause drama and start name calling. You feel like you've been violated and had your work stolen, while I feel I've been conned and had my trust betrayed.
One thing is for sure, she has gotten all the stolen artists far more exposure than anyone of them had before.

This was one of my first thoughts. It could turn out to be beneficial for a lot of these artists.
