We all know that feeling of pure accomplishment when you complete a game to 100%, but what was the first game you did it in?

For me it was Crash Bandicoot 2. I can't tell you how many weeks I spent getting every Crystal, Gem, secret level etc.
Worth every second though

it must have taken a decent amount of time to do. Flash games and games with no objectives other than the main one don't count.

I completed all the Crash games made by Naughty Dog 100%

(Except Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped which I cleared 105%)

I believe it was New Super Mario Bros. for the DS. I played that game everywhere I went for a while and managed to find every secret in there...

Super mario world. I played every level and completed them in every way possible and got every single yoshi coin.

I'm not going to lie, I don't think I've ever completed a game a 100%. The closet I've come is to Castlevania SOTN, I think I had 200.1% (If you've played the game you understand this) and could never mange to find the remaining .5%

How would you define 100% completion? Older games, you either finished the game or not. I think the first game I completed (and completed repeatedly) and did everything there was to do would be Megaman 2, but there weren't secrets or anything in that game, really... =\

Otherwise, I think the first game that had lots of extra stuff to do and recorded your progress that I completed 100% would be Super Mario World.

Probably Majora's Mask. When I was young I didn't have quite as many games as today and basically played it constantly, striving to get everything. Eventually, I did.

Going of of BlackMarketKraid's post, my first game I 100% completed it (Not counting the games where 100% is Beating it), is probably Super Mario 64. After that, probably Super Metroid or Metroid Prime. Later down the road I got Perfect Dark Zero, and Fallout 2.

The first Spyro, it was the hardest Spyro too.

I believe it was either was the first Banjo Kazooie or the first Spyro the Dragon.

Either or, they were both great back in the day.

Im pretty sure mine was Spyro. but the one im actually most proud of would have to be Red Dead.

Spyro took me ages to 100% as a kid. Red Dead took me about 2 weeks.

then again, 2 weeks would seem like ages to a kid...

Pokemon Red, completed the Pokedex so I guess that counts?

Metroid Zero Mission. There was one super missile tank in that game that was damn near impossible to get, for an eleven year old, anyway.

ANYWAYS i don't think i ever beat a game 100%, i did beat games yeah but i never found all the secrets, at least i don't think i did. Hell the furthest I've been is Castlevania SOTN getting only 60.0% done. Which is odd because i can't think of anymore secret areas other than the one with the hallway made entirely of spikes but i can't get past that blue door without blowing my bat cover and getting stabbed to death.
Closest I've been though would be Uncharted 2, back before i got a router i had no online so i had to deal with what i had. beat it on crushing mode, found the secret relic, but i only have 69 out of 100 treasures :(

I think it was Kirby Squeak Squad, which took me less than a day to 100%.

The first game that i completed 100% was Tony Hawk's Under Ground 2. I had to complete all game modes on all difficultys and get all the gaps. It took a while, but it was worth it.

Yeah, I can relate to what you're talking about. For a long ass time before I even knew that FAQs were on the internet as a kid, I didn't even know an upside down castle existed. XD

Anyways, the first game I think I ever 100% completed was Super Mario World, though, that can be kind of tied with Sonic 3 & Knuckles, since I also played the shit out of that as a kid. :)

Mine was Pokemon Blue, caught all Pokemon and Missigo.
